Fall is in the air, even in San Diego. But, it’s on my bucket list to be in New England when the leaves are at their height of changing color.
For this scene, I used the wonderful leaf from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, and the die from Seasonal Layers for cutting.
The leaf colors are Cherry Cobbler, Fresh Fig, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze, which I stamped on Sahara Sand. I chose a Fresh Fig card base, and layered it with Crumb Cake cardstock. I could have left it smooth, but I just had to add the trees with the Woodland embossing folder.
The sentiment, from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set, was stamped with Fresh Fig ink on a strip of vellum. The inspiration for the vellum and the lay-out was from CAS(E) this Sketch.
Autumn is the season of the harvest, and the Paper Players have a harvest theme this week.
Gold sequins were the final touch for this Thanksgiving card. It will be here before we know it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Such a beautiful card, Su. Love the rich colors and texture and the subtle pattern behind the sentiment.
