The Beauty Of Friendship Bundle has wonderful dies and sentiments, which are featured on today’s card. You can see the entire bundle in my Product List below.
This card was especially fun to design, because our assignment was to “case” Steffi Helmschrott. Continue being inspired, then it’s your turn to give it a try!
My design began with the beautiful splotch behind the tree, easily created with a stamp from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, and the Stamparatus. I secured Basic White Cardstock, 3″ X 5 1/4″, on the platform of the Stamparatus, and attached the stamp to the lid of the Stamparatus. Then, using Stampin’ Write Markers in three colors (Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, and Shaded Spruce), I colored the stamp, and brought the lid down, inking the paper .
This may be known by other names, but I call it the “ink to stamp” technique, and it’s a great way to add a variety of color to a stamped image.
Stampin’ Write Markers can be ordered in color groups, which you can see in my Product List. I used the brush end for coloring, holding it sideways, so it wouldn’t ruin the point of the brush.
Next, I glued my pretty splotch to Subtles 6X6 Designer Paper in Balmy Blue, cut to 4″ X 5 1/4″. And, this was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This is a retired pattern, but there are four new ones that would work as well.
The tree was cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock using a Beautiful Trees Die. It is beautiful, isn’t it? The sentiment, “Thinking of you,” is from the Beauty Of Friendship Stamp Set, stamped in Balmy Blue Ink, and cut with a Beautiful Trees Die.
Right after I added the Artistry In Bloom Sequins, a little bird flew onto my card, saying she was the most beautiful die in the set, and wanted to be included. I agreed, as long as she promised to stay on her perch.

I think your Beautiful “Friendship” card is so Gorgeous(sp). It’s serene and just a breath of fresh air. I just l.ove it. I’m a Stampin Up Demonstrator in Michigan. I’m a Fairly New Stamper in Stampin Up though. I’m learning a lot, but want and need to learn more. I hope someday to create cards as beautiful as this one that you did. I will continue to watch what you do and try to put my “spin” on it. We’ll see. It’s wonderful to “meet you”.
Thank you, Deborah! I wish you all the best!
