Stampin’ Up’s Cake Soiree Bundle has so much more than I imagined when ordering it. I didn’t realize it had the cutest, little gift tag, until I started playing with the dies.

Cake Soiree Gift Tag Design

When I saw this week’s CAS(E) this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the little tag.

There is a set of coordinating “masks” that goes with the bundle, page 12-13 in the Occasions Catalog, and I was anxious to try the background one. I used a Sponge Dauber with Pool Party Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  Isn’t the delicate pattern fabulous! TIP: I held the mask in place with Washi Tape.

Next, I die cut two tags, one in Thick Whisper White, and one in Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper in the color of Tranquil Tide, and glued them together. I wanted it sturdy to pop up on dimensionals. The tag already had a hole for tying my favorite Organza Ribbon. I stamped “For You,” which is in the stamp set, and cut it with the smallest Layering Circles die.

I stamped the flowers, also in the set, in Powder Pink, and cut them with their dies.

I added three wonderful little sprigs that I die cut in Tranquil Tide to match the tag. I didn’t realize these were in the set either!  Can you see the die? There are five pieces you cut at the same time. (I didn’t use two of them).

The Sweet Soiree Mask and Sponge Dauber are showing in this photo.

Welcome to my collection, Cake Soiree!
