I’ve been seeing so many wonderful cards using the Large Alphabet, I HAD to have these large letters. I was thrilled to receive them yesterday, and set out creating my first card using them.

Hmmmm, my first question was, how could I use more letters on the card front? My solution was using Stesha Bloodhart’s looooong card measurements. The Real Red card base measures 8″ X 7″, and is scored at 3 1/2″. This accommodated my five “MERRY” letters from the Merry Music Designer Specialty Paper with room to spare for a six letter word.

I used a black print for the background from the same pack of DSP. Aren’t those cute, little swirly things? The letters were raised by using three layers of Thick Whisper White cardstock, which made good use of my scraps, and didn’t take that much time.

I decided to say “MERRY, Merry Christmas,” and used the sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set with the Bunch of Banners die. I taped the back of this die cut banner, so it would sit firmly atop the Baker’s Twine. I secured the Baker’s Twine with Tear Tape, which I wound around five times, and added a bow.

Two Pretty Pines dies provided the greenery, cut from Garden Green cardstock. I tucked six boughs beneath the banner, and this completed my first Large Alphabet card.

I already have more long, large letter cards in the works.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you were inspired!
