#simplestamping is really just that. Simple. You don’t need a Big Shot, dies, embellishments, scissors, ribbon, or even glue. For simple stamping you just need paper, stamps, and ink.

#simplestamping
I began with the idea of a row of colorful hearts, and there was a perfectly sized heart in the Occasions 2019, Meant To Be, stamp set. Plus, the heart’s horizontal lines, make it extra special. Thinking of a rainbow, I selected five colors of ink for my hearts: Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, and Grapefruit Grove. I placed a piece of paper across the card front to make a straight line, and eye-balled the spot for each heart. Close enough, right?
For a bit more detail, I stamped tiny hearts flowing from each of the five hearts. This stamp was found in the Love You To Pieces stamp set, and easily added.

The combination of color, black, and white is a winner, so I used Black ink for the sentiment. When I found the sentiment, “from the heart,” in the Petal Palette stamp set, it put joy in my heart. That’s how I could tell it was the right one. Don’t you love it when that happens?

So, that’s it for simple stamping. You don’t have to be creative or crafty, or any of those things you may think you are not. You just need paper, stamps and ink. I’d love for you to join me in the fun! My very short supply list is below.
Oh, I did add three Clear Blocks to the list. They come in nine sizes, and you use them to attach the stamps for ease of stamping. Size D fits the majority of stamps. And, my Stampin’ Trimmer (not on the list) came in handy to cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Thick Whisper White cardstock in half, and then score it at 4 1/4″. That gave me my 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ card base.
Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve, Woo Hoo! I love new beginnings! Let’s celebrate #simplestamping!

Love this card! Did you use the stamparatus to get the hearts straight??? Can I case, in different colors, for my Valentine cards?
Thank you
Cathy Baird
Hi Cathy,
I didn’t use the Stamparatus, just held a piece of paper over the cardstock to give me my line. Yes, you may case. Have fun!
I do love the simplicity of this card. The colours are warm and the design can be used with any sentiment. thank you. Susan (Ottawa, Ontario)
Thank you, Susan! I agree that hearts go with all sentiments!
Love this card! So simple, but so perfect. Way to go! Now I have to go rummaging thru my stamps to see what I have that would work.
I’m so glad I inspired you to do some simple stamping! I appreciate you liking my card. Thanks Kate!
A very pretty, simple card, Su! Enough variety of color to make it interesting. I get the “joy in your heart” comment! It’s so fun when that happens. Happy New Year to you! <3
Hi Karen,
Thanks for letting me know you understand that “joy” feeling. Here’s to experiencing it every day in the new year!
Su, this is a beautiful, but simple card. That’s our goal, right? Love the colors. Great job lining up everything. Enjoy your day!
Thanks so much, Hilda! I like using dies with the Big Shot, so simple stamping is a challenge. But, this one was fun, and I’m glad you like it.
