This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Parakeet Party, Shaded Spruce, and Flirty Flamingo.

In the Round
My design began with a large, pink, circle. First, I cut two pieces of Basic White Cardstock, 41/4″ X 5 1/2″, making a template with one by using the largest Layering Circles Die to cut a hole. Masking Tape was applied to hold the two in place, while using a Blending Brush with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
It’s fun removing the template to see a perfectly inked circle!
Next, I stamped the leaf image from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set in Parakeet Party Ink and Shaded Spruce Ink. on Basic White Cardstock. After fussy cutting the leaves, I had the idea to cut the top portion of the leaves with the Layering Circles Die, to make them fit within the circle.
Once the leaves were positioned in the circle, I used the Stamparatus to place the seedlings, which I stamped three times in Flirty Flamingo.
To add a bit more detail, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting a border around my design, and attached it with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment is from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink, and cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die. I used the 2 3/4″ X 4″ die, making two cuts for the desired size.
After being inspired by our designers, please get creative with this color combination, and hang your design in our gallery
I’m also sharing with The Paper Players.
