Growing up in San Diego, I was privileged to be a frequent visitor of Balboa Park. I was doubly blessed to have grandparents living close by, who loved taking my brother and me to the park. We discovered a lesser known, tropical area, which was thrilling to explore, Palm Jungle. Thanks for the memories, Mimi and Archie.

Palm Jungle
As soon as I saw this week’s challenge at Global Design Project, “A Day At the Park,” I knew I would get to use my “new to me” Tropical die.
I couldn’t wait to see how this die would look, cut from some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. The blue sky is from a piece of Tranquil Textures DSP, which I glued to the back of the cut-out section of Wood Textures. Then, I glued this layer to a Gray Granite card base, which blended with the Wood Textures DSP.

I thought about adding green, but decided on Shimmer White cardstock. The bird, perched on the “t,” is from a Birds & Blooms die, and “thanks” is from the Well Written die set. Can you see how they sparkle?

The final detail was the five little pearls.

Thanks for stopping by Palm Jungle. Keep scrolling to see my Product List, where clicking on the pictures will take you to my store for shopping!
