Welcome to my blog today, where I created a card using the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper. Follow along to see how I used a sketch, and die-cuts of paper, for this quick & easy card.

Whimsical Tree
First, I located the dies I wanted to use to mimic the sketch. The Ornate Layers Die would make a good vertical panel, cut from a pattern of Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper in Mint Macaron. And, the third largest, Stitched Rectangles Die, would be the right size for cutting the tree patterned paper.

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
Second, I glued the vertical panel in the center of a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I backed the rectangular, tree pattern, with Mint Macaron Cardstock, 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Third, I used two Christmas Trees dies; one to cut a solid tree from Mint Macaron Cardstock, and one to cut an open tree from a Silver Foil Sheet. These were glued together, and attached with Dimensionals.

Finally, the sentiment, “Merry,” was cut from a Silver Foil Sheet with a Word Wishes Die. I added a layer of Thick Basic White Cardstock to the word, before gluing it to the card front.
If you noticed, this card required no ink, and would be great in a variety of holiday papers. You could make a bunch in a fairly short amount of time. See my short Product List below.
