How I love Baby Bear! I have a soft spot in my heart for stuffed animals, and Baby Bear looks so real! Isn’t he irresistible?

Sepia Baby Bear
Baby Bear has been on my mind, since I learned that he was one of Stampin’ Up’s retiring products. So, when I saw the “sepia” challenge at TGIF, I immediately thought of him.
I used three colors of brown to stamp Baby Bear; Soft Suede , Crumb Cake, and Sahara Sand. To achieve his realistic look, Stampin’ Up gave us three stamps for a “3 step” process. First, I stamped the most details in the darkest color, Soft Suede. Second, I stamped the medium details in the medium shade, Crumb Cake. Third, I stamped the least details (looks like a blob) in the lightest shade, Sahara Sand.
The Stamparatus positioning tool made this “3 step” process very easy.

I stamped Baby Bear on Very Vanilla cardstock, matching the card base, and cut with a Stitched Shapes circle die.
The sentiment, “love you,” is from the stamp set, and the inside says, “beary much.” I used a Bunch of Banners die for cutting, which is a die set that is also retiring.

The background is Crumb Cake cardstock with a vertical strip of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut DSP, and a horizontal strip of 6 X 6 Neutrals DSP. This layout was designed by Claire at Paper Players.

Thank you for stopping by to see Baby Bear. If you want one of your own, remember, he is a “Last Chance” product, so only while supplies last. You can click on his picture in my Product List, or click on my “shop” button to see the entire “Last Chance” products.

Su, your bear – and the colors you choose – are fabulous. You really allowed him to shine as the focal point of your card. Great take on the sketch! Hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Adorable, Su! I love this stamp, and I am so sad to see him leave us. The sepia tones are perfect for him. Awesome…as always!
Such a sweet card, Su! I love how you added the laser cut paper detail as well. So adorable!
Love your sepia-toned bear Su – he is just great for the sepia challenge! I like how you used the laser-cut paper for the vertical banner too – it adds to the vintage feel. I haven’t inked my baby bear in a while so you’ve made me think i should dust him off and give him some love before it’s too late!
Aw, this is perfect for Claire’s sketch as well as that sepia challenge…which was on my to-do list, but I haven’t gotten to yet! Your little bear is as sweet as can be!
Oh, he does look real! Very fuzzy. A sweet and pretty card for the sketch!
So cute! I love that fun teddy…so adorable!
I love this stamp set!! I love your card, and I had an idea when I was looking at it. It would also be really cute to fussy cut out Mr. Bear and have his little feet hang over the edge of the circle! Thanks for sharing!
I’m a fairly new SU demonstrator, always looking for ideas and to learn techniques!
