After the holiday break, it’s nice to see Tic Tac Toe and CAS(E) this sketch challenges back in action. They are a wonderful source of inspiration. I look forward to seeing the designer’s samples, and then coming up with new ideas of my own.
For today’s project, I combined the two challenges, and used three new SALE-A-BRATION stamp sets.

Beautiful Peacock Says You Are Simply Amazing
I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, checking off the “white” box of Tic Tac Toe. I used the Garden Trellis folder to emboss the bottom portion of the card, and designed the rest of the space above the embossing to be somewhat like the sketch.
I’m not sure why, but Beautiful Peacock wanted to participate in this challenge. I stamped her body in Tranquil Tide, and her feathers in Lemon Lime Twist. For her tail feathers, I added Berry Burst, and colored the polymer stamp with Stampin’ Writes before stamping the image. Those two, cute little flowers above the peacock are in the Beautiful Peacock stamp set. Do you see them in the sketch?
With all of this stamping, I could check off the “Stamping” box in Tic Tac Toe.
The Beautiful Peacock was looking pretty amazing, so I decided to use the word “amazing” from the Sale-A-Bration, Celebrate You Thinlits Dies. For extra “amazingness” I die cut the word from Glimmer Paper, which is on page 37 of the Occasions Catalog, in case you missed it. Some people (Brian King) think it’s a bit messy, but what’s a little misplaced sparkle among friends?
I didn’t think the card was complete without adding three more words, which I found in the third Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Amazing You. I stamped the word “you” in Tranquil Tide ink, and “are simply” in Berry Burst ink, punching it out, and popping it up.
I forgot to take a photo of the inside, but I stamped, “happiest of birthdays to you,” from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.
The final detail was adding four, clear Epoxy Shapes to the peacock, which look great in person. You can find them on page 33 of the new Occasions catalog.
Welcome back Tic Tac Toe and CAS(E) this sketch designers!
Oh my goodness this is SO cool! I love the texture and the bright peacock. Love!
Hi Chrissy, thanks so much for the kind words. I’m so glad you think it’s cool!
Su this card is so so pretty! Your color choices really pop against the white. And you’ve got great texture in there with the glimmer paper and the embossing. Beautiful job my friend! Thank you for joining us at Tic Tac Toe Challenges!
Thank you Peggy! I appreciate you noticing the details. You know how much I enjoy the Tic Tac Toe challenges!
What an “amazing” card, Su. I love all the elements you’ve incorporated to create such a pretty card! Thanks for sharing at the TTTC.
Thank you Rosanne! And, I just saw that it was chosen as a winner. I’m thrilled!
Beautiful card, Su! I love your take on this sketch and the beautiful elements from the peacock. I’m glad he wanted to play in this challenge.
Thank you Brian! It makes me so happy to read your comments!
Oh, this is so pretty! Wonderful take on the sketch!
Thanks Leigh! It was a fun sketch!
The peacock is a pretty stamp set, and the font of the amazing die is beautiful. I wonder sometimes how much time you usually spend daily in your craft room creating your works of beauty. Would you show us your crafting area one of these days?
Hi Stella, I wonder how much time I spend crafting too! LOL I know it’s more than 40 hours a week. My computer is in a different room, so I’m there too, because that’s where I’m blogging. It’s all so enjoyable, I really haven’t kept track of the hours. I will make note that you’d like to see my crafting area. I’m working up to doing some videos, so that’s in my future.
