Lasting Lily is the stamp set that is being showcased at What Will You Stamp? this week.
Single Lily
This is a wonderful stamp set that is FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration. And, the exciting news is that a coordinating die set can be purchased from March 1-31, as long as supplies last. The stamp set and dies are in my Product List below, so you can see more details.
I began today’s card by stamping the larger lily in Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I stamped the stem in Old Olive ink, and hand cut both pieces. I can’t wait to get the dies, to speed up the process!
The background is a piece of Floral Romance Designer Series Paper that I embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder. Additional interest was made with a Wonderful Floral die. I adhered this piece to a Mossy Meadow card base, and placed my single lily on an angle.
The sentiment, “thanks” is from the Well Written die set, cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Did I tell you how much I love these paper words?
My single lily needed some leaves, and there’s a beautiful one in the stamp set. Unfortunately, it has gone missing. I’m sure it’s stuck to something somewhere, but after searching, it was not to be found. So, I used leaves from the Wonderful Floral die set, cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
The final detail was the bow, made with Old Olive Linen Thread, attached with a Mini-Glue Dot. I would buy this Linen Thread in every color, if it was available!

Pink is the color I chose for my Paper Player’s monochromatic project this week, and this piece of marble from nature is showing the varying shades.
For the second requirement of keeping it clean and simple, I used just one piece of Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.
“carved in stone”
I cut the heart from the DSP using a Be Mine Stitched die, along with several layers of retired cardstock, for thickness. Then , I adhered this DSP with the hole in it to a Petal Pink card base. After applying dimensionals to the heart, I placed it back in its spot, without disrupting the pattern of veins in the stone. You could call this the “eclipse” technique.
This fabulous DSP is an actual photograph of marble, which made me think of the expression, “carved in stone.” So, I put my Labeler Alphabet stamp set to use, and stamped the required letters in Blushing Bride ink on Whisper White cardstock. I used my Paper Snips for cutting, and lined up the letters as you see. A little imperfection is their charm.
The words, “love you” are from the Well Written die set, and cut from another pink pattern of Petal Promenade DSP. After giving them one extra layer of cardstock, I glued them in place, and my clean and simple, monochromatic, card was complete.

Today’s Wonderful Romance, celebration card, is all about coloring.
hooray!
My favorite tools for coloring are the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, offered in a wide range of colors. For this project I used: Light Mossy Meadow, Light Old Olive, Light & Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Pineapple Punch, Dark Crumb Cake, and Light and Dark Calypso Coral.
I first stamped the floral bouquet (Wonderful Romance stamp set) in Crumb Cake ink on Shimmery White cardstock. Before coloring, I used the bouquet’s die from Wonderful Floral for cutting.
The Shimmery White cardstock has nice thickness, so I couldn’t resisted placing my bouquet on dimensionals.
My layout for the bouquet was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this sketch.
After playing around with angled sections, I decided to go with plain rectangles on the diagonal corners. The top piece is 2″ X 3″, and the bottom piece is 2″ X 2 1/4″. These fit nicely on the layer of Whisper White cardstock, which is 4″ X 5 1/4″, layered on the 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ Thick Whisper White card base. The striped paper is from the Neutrals 6X6 Designer Series Paper in Pear Pizzazz.
Just one more item would complete my card front; a word from the Well Written die set, “hooray,” and the exclamation point. We use a lot of those in our online writing! Don’t we? I rolled these through the Big Shot with Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and adhered them with tiny, tiny, tiny dots of Tombow liquid glue.
I hope you enjoyed seeing today’s bouquet, good for any celebration. But, I like the way “hooray” rhymes with “birthday,” so it will probably end up saying, “It’s your birthday,” on the inside.

Here is a “quick & easy” rainbow birthday card.
Rainbow Birthday
The rainbow/circle idea is from Steffi Helmschrott’s card at Global Design Project. We were challenged to CASE her fabulous card this week.
First, I decided on the colors I would use for my rainbow: Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party and Highland Heather.
After selecting rainbow colors, I needed to find a fairly small object for stamping. Remembering that the Cake Soiree stamp set had some nice, small flowers, I pulled it from the shelf. I was happy to find a round flower that was just the right size for stamping a horizontal row across the card front.
I stamped one flower, inked with each of the six colors, cleaning the stamp between colors. Then, I went back with each color, “stamping off” above and below the original “full strength” row. In retrospect, I could have completed the stamping with each color, before going on to the next, but I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out.
Now that my rainbow of flowers was complete, I needed a sentiment. The bright flowers on the Whisper White background called for a sentiment in black, don’t you think? The words, “happy birthday,” from the Well Written die set, happened to fit the space perfectly. Plus, it’s a cheery looking card that someone having a birthday would like to receive. I used the two dies to cut the words from Basic Black cardstock, and adhered them with tiny dots of liquid glue, being careful not to lose the “i.”
This would be a fun card for a beginning stamper, especially if you simply stamped “happy birthday” in black ink. I’ll have to keep that in mind.

What’s the best thing for serving a warm cup of tea? You’re right, a teapot!
Tea Time
This adorable teapot is part of the Sale-A-Bration offerings that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order, now through March 31st. The Tea Time die set coordinates with the Tea Together stamp set in the Occasions catalog, which you can see pictured in my Product List below. My favorite stamp sets have dies that cut the images, and this was an exciting Sale-A-Bration surprise!
It’s really fun selecting the china pattern for the teapot. This pattern is from Share What You Love DSP, which I especially like for it’s extra thick, non-breakable, quality. I stamped the teapot in Soft Suede ink, so the outline could be seen, before using its die for cutting.
The beautiful, Whisper White tablecloth was made with the Lace Textured embossing folder. The teapot is resting on a mat of Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive leaves, plus Rich Razzleberry sprigs made with Wonderful Floral dies.
Old Olive linen Thread was tied around the tablecloth and knotted, before adhering the tablecloth to the Crumb Cake table.
Don’t you just love the sentiment, “You are the best thing I never knew I needed” from the Wonderful Romance stamp set? I stamped it in Crumb Cake ink, and it fit beautifully on the Whisper White plate made with a Wonderful Floral die. Three little pearls were tossed on the plate for good measure.
But, the excitement doesn’t stop here. I had to share with you this stand-alone teapot. Peggy Noe shared it with her Sweet Stampers in a gingham print, and I’m sorry we don’t know the originator, but it’s just too cute not to pass along.
This is how I made it:
Cut a piece of cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 6 1/2″
Score at 3 1/4″ and fold
Place the teapot die on the folded cardstock with the knob just a bit above the fold.
Cut two teapots from your favorite china pattern, and glue. I used the Reverse Mirror technique to stamp the back of the teapot, but it would be fine to die cut without stamping. I bet you can’t wait to try it!

Good morning! Today’s card makes me chuckle. My husband is very supportive of my card making, but he teased me about saying “welcome baby” three times. He said there would be a small market for those needing a card for triplets. My intent was an enthusiastic welcome for ONE baby. Time will tell, if it’s used for one baby or three!
Welcome Baby
The whole triplet idea began with this week’s CAS(E) this sketch.
For my three objects, I found the cute, little bird in the Well Written die set. The bird was perfect for my baby card in the cardstock colors of Blushing Bride, So Saffron, and Pool Party. I placed the three birds on Dimensionals atop a Rectangle Stitched die cut, which is also on Dimensionals.
The background of Whisper White cardstock is adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base. Rather than using an embossing folder, I used the words, “welcome baby” to create the embossed effect. The words are from the same die set as the bird, Well Written. I cut three of each word from Thick Whisper White cardstock, and glued them in place.
In the first photo, you can see the envelope flap, decorated with a piece of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, so it’s ready to send.
