Fenced Garden

This beautiful garden is enclosed by a wrought iron fence, made with Basic Black cardstock, that was cut with a die from the Stained Glass die set.  The ground is covered with grass and foliage made with two stamps from the Enjoy Life stamp set and Pear Pizzazz ink.

Next, we see an array of flowers in four colors of cardstock, cut with two dies from the Bouquet Bunch set. My colors are named in my product list below.

Mr. Blackbird was cut from Basic Black cardstock with a Botanical Tags die.

All of the garden is on Whisper White cardstock, cut with a Rectangle Stitch die, which is adhered to a “Garden Green” card base. I have to laugh at the perfect color name of the card base, and how it ties in with the Global Design Project challenge.

The sign on the garden fence, “happy day,” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. It is stamped in Black ink on Whisper White cardstock, and cut with a Merry Christmas label die. I use this die often for small sentiments.

Three butterflies (Enjoy Life stamp set) are stamped in Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight ink.

Thank you for joining me on my garden walk. Have a great rest of your day!

Pet Canaries Color Challenge

Today’s project has pet canaries showing off their Pineapple Punch feathers for a color challenge.

By Su Mohr for tgifc197; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Botanical Tags dies, Quilt Top embossing, Rectangle Stitched dies, Part of My Story stamp set; #friendshipcards #Botanicaltags #petcanaries #petbirds #birds #birdcages #handmadecards #diy #papercrafts

Pet Canaries

I used a die from the Botanical Tags die set to cut the birds in their cage from two colors of cardstock; Thick Whisper White and Pineapple Punch. The white, die-cut piece was left intact, while the canaries were snipped from the yellow, die-cut piece. Then, I glued the yellow canaries on top of the white birds.

The cage is resting on a Stitched Shapes square of Coastal Cabana cardstock. I used the largest Stitched Shapes square die for cutting, and embossed it with the Subtle Textured embossing folder.

The background is a piece of Whisper White cardstock, embossed with the Quilt Top embossing folder.

Sticking with the stitched look, I used the Rectangle Stitched die for the sentiment.

“Know that today a friend is thinking of you,” is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Part of My Story. You can check out all of the sentiments in the stamp set in my Product List below.

I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst ink, the third color in TGIF’s color challenge.

To add a bit more Berry Burst, I used a Sponge Dauber on Whisper White cardstock, and then cut a branch with a Botanical Tags die.

To draw your eye to the sentiment, I added three, little pearls.

“Thinking of You” for February 2019

Today’s card is for someone who needs an encouraging word. Isn’t it nice knowing that someone is “thinking of you,” and sending positive thoughts your way?

By Su Mohr for Kylie's Highlights: Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Foil Sheets, Wonderful Romance stamp set, Wonderful Floral die set, Subtle Textured embossing, Beautiful Day stamp set, Petals & More die; #friendshipcards #handmadecards #wonderfulromance #wonderfulfloral #beautifulday #iridescent #diy #papercrafting #cardchallenges

Always thinking of you

The colors were inspired by Fab Friday.

When I see the color names, Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick, my mind goes to the fabulous, Sale-A-Bration, Foil Sheets. So, that’s what I used for cutting the shiny foliage.

The Grapefruit Grove leaves and Lovely Lipstick sprigs were  were cut with two of the Wonderful Floral dies. A third, Wonderful Floral die, was used for the pair of Whisper White leaves.  I used a Wonderful Romance stamp for making the outline with Blushing Bride ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock.

For the background, I embossed Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. Prior to embossing, I stamped some tiny dots in Blushing Bride ink with a Wonderful Romance stamp.

I found the perfect sentiment, “Always thinking of you,” in the Beautiful Day stamp set. It fit the size of the Petals & More die just right, and I stamped it in Black ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock before cutting. I placed it on dimensionals across the middle of my design, and my art piece was ready to adhere to a Thick Whisper White cardbase.

A sprinkling of Iridescent Sequins was the final touch. You’ll find all of the supplies I used for today’s project in my Product List below.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Love is in the Air for PP427

Theme challenges are so much fun, because they give you lots of leeway. But, I loved the Paper Players inspirational photo so much, my design ended up looking a lot like it!

By Su Mohr for PP427; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: All My Love DSP, Wood Textures DSP, Be Mine Stitched dies, Sunshine Wishes dies, Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper, Botanical Tags dies; #valentines #valentinesday #valentinecards #handmadecards #Beminestitcheddies #woodtextures #botanicaltagsdies #allmylovedsp #loveisintheair

Love is in the air

Here’s the inspirational photo. See what I mean?

My sky is Balmy Blue cardstock on a Thick Whisper White card base. The white clouds are represented by Delightfully Detailed laser-Cut Paper. I just snipped a section from the 12X12 sheet, and used tiny dots of Liquid Glue to adhere it to the sky. The edges were trimmed before gluing the sky to the card base.

Isn’t my Lovely Lipstick heart beautiful? I can brag about it, because all I did was crop it from a piece of All My Love Designer Series Paper. There’s a heart die in the Be Mine Stitched die set that is the perfect size for cutting. I love it when Stampin’ Up! matches dies to the designer paper! The pretty, white, trim around the heart is from another heart die in the Be Mine Stitched die set.

The two “love birds” on the heart were made with a Botanical Tags die, cut from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. They are perched on a branch from the same Botanical tags die set.

I  used a Sunshine Wishes die for cutting the word, “love,” and matched it to the bird’s feathers.

Some of my favorite cards are Valentines.  You can click on the pictures in my Product List to see the details on the supplies I used for this card. I hope you were inspired to start creating. I want to see your Valentines in our Paper Players gallery! Now, go get more inspiration from our super duper design team!

“Love You To Pieces”

A jigsaw puzzle heart is perfect for saying, “love you to pieces.”

By Su Mohr for cts307; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: All My Love DSP, Love You To Pieces stamp set, Puzzle Pieces dies; #allmylove #loveyoutopieces #beminestitched #valentines #valentinecards #handmadecards #anniversarycards #stampinup #cardchallenges #casethissketch #diy #papercrafts

We just fit

This heart was cut from one of the 12 designs in the All My Love DSP, using a die from the Puzzle Pieces die set. Please see the Product List at the end of my post for more details.

I gave the heart a couple layers, so it would feel like a real jigsaw puzzle piece. The pieces are held together by dimensionals, which also adhere it to the card front.

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock, which I chose to blend with the other two selections of All My Love DSP.

I trimmed each coordinating DSP to size, and used a scallop edged, Be Mine Stitched die, to add detail across the middle.

My inspiration for the layout was CAS(E) this sketch.

The great sentiment, “we just fit,” from the Love You To Pieces stamp set, ties it all together. I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock, and used a Merry Christmas die for cutting.

I hope you can see how much fun it is to use the Puzzle Pieces die set. The Love You To Pieces stamp set with Puzzle Pieces dies are perfect for expressing love on any occasion. They are available in a bundle for a 10% savings! Thanks for stopping by today!

“Quick & Easy” Butterfly Card

Welcome to my blog on the first day of February! Today I’m sharing a “quick & easy” butterfly card.

By Su Mohr; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Botanical Butterfly DSP, Butterfly Gala stamp set, Wonderful Floral die set, Tranquil Textures DSP; #saleabration # butterflies #butterflycards #handmadecards #stampinup #diy #wonderfulfloral #butterflygala #quick&easy

I chose Balmy Blue for the card base, with Lemon Lime Twist for the right side of the sketch. To add some detail to the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, I used a Wonderful Floral die to make the arbor and leaves.

The left side is a pretty, floral print from the Botanical Butterfly DSP in the same green tones.

The butterfly is also from the Botanical Butterfly DSP, and I was happy to find a perfect one in blue and green. Well, almost perfect. It wasn’t the size of the punch, so I had to use my Paper Snips to fussy cut it.

I stamped the butterfly’s antennae before securing it to its place with Tear& Tape. I wanted to make sure it didn’t fly away!

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I stamped “Hello Beautiful” in Black ink on a piece of Tranquil Textures DSP that was  cut with a Wonderful Floral die.

Thanks for stopping by today! Treat yourself to some crafting supplies at my online store. I wish you a wonderful February!
