“Kids” was the theme for this week’s Global Design Project, and Baby Bear wanted to be the star of the show. This reminds me of a little known “reveal” at the Stampin’ Up OnStage event, which I will tell you at the end of this post. See if you can guess as you read along.
To get this party started, Baby Bear was triple stamped with Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip ink (in that order) on Sahara Sand cardstock. After fussy cutting, I spritzed him on the back with water and used a rounding tool to shape him into a real, live stuffed bear. He dressed for the party in a Bermuda Bay colored party hat and bow, and this made him very happy. The hat, top knot, gifts and candles were all cut with Celebration Thinlits. Versamark, White Powder and the heat tool were used to stamp the sentiment and gifts (Celebration Time stamp set) on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. He is sitting on Pool Party cardstock that was embossed with Polka Dots, layered on Whisper White on a Lemon Lime Twist card base. The “table” is a small strip of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper.
Baby Bear is anxious for you to open your birthday gifts. But, I haven’t forgotten about the REVEAL: Baby Bear was the Number One best seller in last year’s Stampin’ Up! catalog. This didn’t surprise me, because he’s absolutely adorable, and I’ve used him on many cards. The good news is, he was carried over to our current catalog. If you missed out on ordering him, you can go shopping for him right now. If you have any questions, I’m here to help.

Thanks Jill!
Your Baby Bear card is adorable. I had no idea it was the #1 stamp set.
Thanks Stella! Quite a few people were surprised, but Stampin Up! is worldwide. That’s one reason I enjoy the international challenges.
Love your work and clever ideas. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much Sharon! I really appreciate you saying so!
