Metallic Dashing Deer

I was inspired by the challenge at Less Is More, keeping it simple while using metallics.

I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, and only added three items. How simple is that!

The deer is from the Detailed Deer die set, cut from a piece of Gold Foil. He was given texture by running him through the Big Shot with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. TIP: Be careful with the antlers, because embossing makes them brittle.

The circular piece behind the deer is from the Beautiful Layers die set, which is cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock.

After carefully gluing the two pieces to the card front, I decided to use my “go to” sentiment.

“Merry Christmas,” from the Star of Light stamp set, is heat embossed with Gold Powder on Thick Whisper White cardstock, and cut with a Bunch of Banners die. I placed it on Mini-Dimensionals, and my card was complete. Lickety-split!

This photo really captures the metallic shine.

Thank you for visiting me today. I hope I’ve given you an idea for a card with pizzazz that you can make, lickety-split!
