I’m still loving this deer from the Dashing Deer stamp set, and the way it cuts out easily with its Detailed Deer die. This deer is stamped in Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, and layered for thickness.

Dashing Deer

Since the deer wanted to be camouflaged, I let her blend in with a Crumb Cake background, layered on a Cherry Cobbler card base. The Cherry Cobbler matches a rectangle of Wrapped In Plaid 6X6 Designer Paper, and the scalloped border around the oval sentiment.

The sentiment, “Merry Christmas,” is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, like the deer.

Layering Oval dies were used for cutting, then the sentiment was placed on Dimensionals.

A strip of Burlap Ribbon is underneath the sentiment, adhered with a piece of Tear & Tape. If you aren’t familiar with Tear & Tape, you can click on the picture in my Product List. It’s a strong adhesive, and works well with ribbon.

The wood textured rectangle is a piece of Pressed Petals Designer Paper, adding to the rustic flavor of the card.

Today’s design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

This may end up being a card I make in quantity, since it would be fairly easy to duplicate. I would love to have my Christmas cards made before November. We’ll see!

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day!
