The Dashing Deer stamp set was my “must have” when I first saw the Holiday catalog. Sure enough, I’ve used this stamp set, along with the Detailed Deer dies, more than any other Bundle.  Here is Tappy, the tapestry reindeer, stamped in Soft Seafoam ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock.

Dashing Deer in Soft Sea Foam

Today’s project was inspired by the Global Design project. The challenge was to CASE the designer, Louise Sharp. Her soft colors are so pretty, and her Buffalo Check background looks fabulous.

Working on Christmas cards remains a priority for me, so I found the lightest “Christmas” green I have, Soft Sea Foam, and inked up my Buffalo Check background stamp. The Stamparatus insured a good coverage of ink, because it enabled me to stamp several times. I layered the Buffalo Check on a Sahara Sand card base, which I layered with a 3″ X 4″ piece of Sahara Sand cardstock to approximate Louise’s card.  To add dimension to this top layer, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Corrugated embossing folder.

Tappy was anxiously waiting on the sideline for his turn to be inked up with Soft Sea Foam. I used his Detailed Deer die for cutting, and he was ready to be glued to his corrugated background. Before gluing his background to the Buffalo Check layer, I tied some Braided Linen Trim around the bottom.

I apologize for using a sentiment from the Christmas Greetings die set, because it has retired. But, isn’t “merry” beautiful in Sparkle Glimmer Paper?

I couldn’t keep from using “merry,” because I’ve been thinking about the die set that’s in the new Occasions catalog,  It’s named, “Well Said,” and has 24 dies, mostly words.  Demonstrators will be able and to order it December 5th, and customers in January. WHOOPEE!!!

I’ll also use the excuse that Tappy was encouraging me by saying he wanted a word that sparkled to match his neckwear. We both thought a sprinkling of Iridescent Sequins would look nice, and hope you agree.

That’s it for today. But, I already know that Tappy will be making another appearance on Monday, November 19th. If you want your own Tappy, just click on his picture in my Product List below. Thanks for shopping at my store!
