Today’s card is all about a little witch, named Dottie. So, if you have dots before your eyes, Dottie insisted I use all of her favorite things! Her favorite hat has dots, which she said to color with her favorite colors; Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party. Obligingly, I stamped her hat in Tahitian Tide Ink, used her Witch Hat Punch for cutting, and filled in the dots with a Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blend.

Dottie wanted to be surrounded by dots, and said I should use the Dots & Spots Die that is FREE right now during this month of Sale-a-bration. Except for her Bewitching Bundle, she thinks this is the best thing Stampin’ Up! ever made! I used the die on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. 

Granting her wish to stand  in the middle of all those dots, I created her giant dot with the second largest Stylish Shapes circle die. Prior to gluing, I stamped her shoes and socks in Memento Black Ink on the card front, and colored with Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends. 

Once her hat was attached with Dimensionals, she was ready to say “WOO HOO!” We found this in the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped it in Memento Black Ink, used its Sentiment Silhouettes Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. 

Dottie’s last request was to use her favorite embellishment, the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots. She wanted to use ALL of them, but I limited her to three. She didn’t appreciate my explanation that sometimes “less is more,” and three is visually appealing. 

In spite of limiting the embellishment dots, Dottie thanked me for my help, and was anxious to share her card at Freshly Made Sketches.
