Father’s Day is around the corner, so I’m kicking off June with two cards for inspiration. Stampin’ Up! carried over a great set in the Annual Catalog, Trusty Tools, which is perfect for Father’s Day. I began by using Stampin’ Blends to paint stripes, on Basic White Cardstock, in the new “In Colors:” Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, and Strawberry Slush. Then, I stamped a pencil in Secret Sea Ink on the four stripes, and used a Trusty Tools Die to cut the pencils from the stripes. I’ll show you what I did with these pencils on Wednesday.

Now, back to today’s card. I cut the striped paper with pencil holes, to 3 1/4″ X 4 1/2″, and glued it to Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest, Perennial Postage Die. These two layers were attached with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I stamped more pencils in Secret Sea Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used the Trusty Tools Die for cutting. Then, I used the same, Stampin’ Blends “In Colors,” to color the pencils, and glued them in the “holes.” The sentiment, “Happy Father’s Day” was stamped in Secret Sea Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Wonderful Thoughts Die, and attached with Dimensionals. To complete the card, I stamped splotches, from the Elements Of Text Stamp Set, in matching colors of ink. Last, but not least, I added 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls.
