Now that Thanksgiving has passed, it’s time to start decorating for Christmas, so bring on the poinsettias! The Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper has beautiful poinsettias, and the focal point for today’s card. I used a Painted labels Die for cutting, one of my favorite dies. With a sketch in mind, I snipped the right edge of the circle.

A Poinsettia
The card base is Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5″.
The top layer is Basic White Cardstock, cut 1/8″ smaller, giving it a 1/16″ green border. Prior to gluing, I embossed it with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder.
“From our home to yours” is from the Leaves Of Holly Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink, and cut with a Harvest Die. Before attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, I lightly brushed the edges with a Sponge Dauber and Evening Evergreen Ink. As a final touch, I added three, tiny, gold, For Everything Fancy Sequins.
I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
My November Host Code Gift
