The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month’s challenge is “Sparkle & Shine.”

It’s always fun to add “Sparkle & Shine” to Christmas cards!  I began today’s card by Using Word Wishes Dies to cut “Merry Christmas” from gold, Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.  This die set has retired, but Words for the Season Dies are in the 2025 Holiday Catalog, available now.

“Sparkle & Shine”

For the background, I used a selection from Joyful Days Memories & More Card Pack, cut to 5 1/4″ X 4″. It was at the top of my list, because, there are 54 double-sided cards in this pack, and the artwork is amazing! It can be used for scrapbooking AND card making! After cutting, I embossed it with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder.

Next, I used a Peace On Earth Die to cut the sentiment label from the scene of trees, as well as a piece of Vellum. Vellum was used to obscure the trees, so Merry Christmas would be clearly visible. Then, I glued the “border” to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. After gluing “Merry Christmas” to the Vellum, I glued the Vellum to the trees label cut, and raised the label on Dimensionals.

For a bit more sparkle, I added three Traditional Sparkle Sequins in gold. Aren’t they pretty?
