The theme for this month’s Kre8tors Blog Hop is “masculine.” Are sloths good subject matter for masculine cards? You betcha! This card was designed especially for my husband, because he had shoulder replacement surgery last Wednesday.

Get Well Sloth
Sloths really are cute, aren’t they?
I began with the sloth’s card base of Crumb Cake, embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I added leaves to the scene with a piece of Forever Greenery Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die.
Now for the sloth from the Back On Your Feet Stamp Set. I stamped him in Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and colored him with Stampin’ Blends, and one Stampin’ Write Marker for the leaves. The colors are listed in my Product List below.
I used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and then trimmed one end with a larger die to make the rectangle a little shorter. Sometimes you lose a stitch on the end, oops.
Here’s a picture, so you can understand how I did it.
“Sigh..” is also from Back On You Feet, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. The die has a small frame that cuts at the same time, which I didn’t use. You can see the die set in my Product List.
The sentiment is continued on the inside, “Sometimes that’s all there is to say-and that I’m here for you.” The leaves were cut from the Forever Greenery DSP with a Forever Flourishing Die. How handy is that! I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything!
