This Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper is gorgeous! I love the succulent’s colors of Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party. Two cards ended up developing from one idea, a “two for one.”

One Idea-Two Cards
When I saw this week’s CAS(E) this sketch, I thought of the Puzzle Pieces die that cuts out a square jigsaw puzzle.
I began by using the Puzzle Pieces die to cut the jigsaw puzzle from The Painted seasons DSP. Then, I glued the puzzle pieces together on a 3 1/2″ X 3 1/2 square of cardstock. This was layered on a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Pool Party cardstock, which was layered on the 4 1/4 X 5 1/2″ Lemon Lime Twist card base.

I used the single Puzzle Pieces die to cut a jigsaw piece from the Painted Seasons DSP design in Pool Party. The sentiment, “One piece at at time,” is from the coordinating Love You to Pieces stamp set. I stamped it in Black ink, glued everything together, and that was it!

I had a nice frame of the succulent DSP left over from the first card, so I backed it with the design in Pool Party. This square was glued to a Pool Party card base. Then, I used that single puzzle die to cut to cut two succulent pieces, which I glued in the square. “Let’s get together soon” is another great sentiment from the Love You To Pieces stamp set, stamped in Black ink, and cut with the Classic Label Punch.
TIP: The puzzle pieces have several layers of cardstock, so they look and feel realistic. And, I layered the sentiment to match.

I hope you enjoyed my “two for one!” I see that the Painted Seasons DSP isn’t on my Product List, but clicking on my “shop” button will take you to my store where you’ll find it. It’s available through March 31st, while supplies last. Have a great day!

Does the puzzle “work”? I have this die and thus far I’ve been disappointed in it’s performance. I’d love to make it so the puzzle actually “worked” but your card is beautiful as well.
Hi Cindy,
Yes, the puzzle works. I layer the pieces, so they are thick like a regular jigsaw puzzle. Thank you for commenting.
There is beauty in simplicity! Love these cards!
Thank you, Fay! So glad you like them!
Great idea! I love it when you can get two cards from one idea! That paper is the prettiest I have seen this year!
Thank you, Marianne! I appreciate you visiting my blog and commenting!
