I find myself playing with the Pansy Patch Bundle again, but this time I’m using the stamps for 3-step stamping. Follow along, and you’ll see what I mean.

Beginning with a background of Basic White Cardstock (4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″), I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to give it a pretty border. Prior to cutting, I glued a strip of Pansy Petals Designer Paper in Soft Succulent gingham (1 1/4″ X 5 1/2″). Notice that I started with paper the size of the card front, so it could be cut down with the Scalloped Contours Die.

3-Step Stamped Pansies

Next, I embossed my background with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, and glued it to a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Now, for the pansies. I used three colors of ink: Polished Pink, Highland Heather, and Fresh Freesia. Looking at the Pansy Patch Stamp Set cover, I stamped the three images, as shown on the bottom row, left to right. I stamped off the first stamp to make it lighter, followed by the second and third stamps at full strength.

The stamps are photopolymer, so you can see through them, to stamp one image on top of the next. 3-step stamping is cool, huh?

After stamping the pansies, I used a Pansy Die for cutting. The shape of the flower is simple, and the die was easy to match. Then, I attached the three pansies to the card front, and cut three leaves from Soft Succulent Cardstock, which I glued beneath the flowers.

I found a small “hello” in the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set, and used the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die for cutting. For a final touch, I placed a Metallic Pearl at the center of each pansy.

I was inspired by the sketch, soft colors, and “hello” (on the desk) at Fusion.
