This lovely, white, bird cage is hanging from a Pomegranate tree, and the cage door was left open. Pretty Bird is especially happy, because she was free to fly to the “k” of “thanks.” The cage was cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock with a Birdhouse Die.
Pretty Bird
Pretty Bird is from the Pretty Birds Stamp Set, and told me the stamp set was named after her. I’m not sure about that, but at least it will be easy to remember her name. She thought it would be fun to be stamped in Memento Black Ink, and leave her color to the imagination of the viewer. She squirmed a bit when I was cutting her free with a Birdhouse Die, and was grateful I didn’t cut off any of her feathers.
“Thanks” was cut with Amazing Thanks Dies; TahitianTide Cardstock for the bubble, and Basic White Cardstock for the thinner “thanks.” I glued the two together, and placed it on Dimensionals on the bottom of the cage.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die. After cutting, I stamped Perfect Pomegranate leaves and a blossom in Parakeet Party Ink at the top. Then, I glued the cage in place, and added three In Color Matte Decorative Dots in Tahitian Tide. Pretty Bird said they looked good enough to eat, but I’m hoping she’ll leave them alone.
