Today’s Christmas card is in the traditional colors of red & green, featuring Pup, the patient dog.

Pup’s Card
The first thing I did was cut my card base from Garden Green Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, and folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut a piece of Regals 6 X 6 Designer Paper in dotted, Garden Green. This was topped with Whisper White Cardstock, cut with the third largest Stitched Rectangles Die.
Next, I cut Pup from the Playful Pets Designer Paper, freeing him from all the other dogs. I thought he might get lonely, but he said he wouldn’t, as long as he could sit by a Christmas tree.
Pup also wanted to sit next to his gift, so he could have fun anticipating, knowing that anticipation is half the fun. He’s a very smart dog!
There was a wonderful stamp in the Little Treats Stamp Set, that made a beautiful gift box, when stamped in Real Red Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. It even had a die for cutting, from the Little Treat Box die set. I glued Pup’s nose and front paws to his gift, and placed them on Dimensionals, so they would be ready to sit by the tree.
The tree was made with two stamps from the In the Pines Stamp Set, stamped in Garden Green Ink on the Stitched Rectangle of Whisper White Cardstock. I first “stamped off” the colored part of the tree, and then stamped the outline in “full strength” ink. It isn’t meant to match exactly.
We found Pup’s sentiment, “Merry Christmas,” in the Word Wishes die set, and cut the words from Real Red Cardstock. Don’t you think the font is pretty? We glued the words on an angle, and Pup’s card was complete. Do you think he can wait until Christmas?
Pup’s card was inspired by the Paper Players.
