Happy Valentine’s Day! I thought it was appropriate to use “bee loved.”

Today’s card has been in my thoughts for some time, and it finally came to fruition. The Queen Bee Stamp Set has a wonderful, intricate, bee that I stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Dainty Flowers Designer Paper. This designer paper is a FREE Sale-a-bration item from the original brochure for January. There are ten additional, FREE gift items for February, which you can see below.

“Bee Loved”

Prior to stamping the Queen Bee, I prepared her background. The card base is Mossy Meadow Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This is layered with Soft Succulent Cardstock, 5 3/8″ X 4 1/8″. The Dainty Flowers Designer Paper is 5″ X 4″. There are six wreaths on this 12″ X 12″ pattern (12 wreaths in a pack), and you can see how they are begging for a focal point.

After gluing the layers, I added a few details. Can you see the little dots? There’s a cute dot stamp in the set, which I used with Old Olive Ink. The sentiment, “beloved” was stamped in Early Espresso Ink, cut with a Ranunculus Die, and attached with Mini Dimensionals. Lastly, I used two Queen Bee Dies to cut some honeycomb and a couple tiny hearts, all from Dainty Flowers Designer Paper.
