Virtual gatherings can be fun, and today I’m sharing one I attended on Thursday evening. Prior to the gathering, everyone (over 50 attendees) received a supply list for a “mystery” card we would be making together.

Dutch Door Fun Fold

These are the instructions we received:

Looking at the supply list, I had no idea it would be a Fun Fold Card, named the Dutch Door. I began with a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2” X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The surprise came at the beginning, when we were told to cut a 4 1/4″ X 2 1/2″ section off the front of the card base.

Next, I glued my Vellum Layering Design, 3 3/4″ X 5″, to Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and glued this to the inside of my card base.

Fortunately, I had prepared my stamped image ahead of time, thinking I wouldn’t have time during the gathering. Although, I could have completed it later.

I had chosen a Ranunculus Romance image, and used the “ink to stamp” technique to stamp it onto the 2 1/4″ X 4″ Basic White Cardstock. With the Stamparatus holding the stamp and paper in place, I used Stampin’ Write Markers in four colors: Soft Sea Foam, Mossy Meadow, Flirty Flamingo, and Petal Pink.

After stamping, I glued the flowers to Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper, 2 3/4″ X 4″.  I didn’t want the back of the Daffodil DSP to show, so I glued Basic White Cardstock to the back.

I covered the “door” with Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, 4″ X 3″, embossed with The Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Once the “door” was covered, I attached the flowers with Dimensionals on the bottom half.

My sentiment is from the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Ranunculus Die.

For embellishment, I added some Petal Pink Ribbon with a Glue Dot, and self-adhesive Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Everyone will be posting their cards in the FaceBook group, and I’m excited to see the variety of cards.
