What a surprise it was to have a special “little hello” from a mouse in my house. Literally! Keep reading.

Mouse Hello
Here he is; the real thing, just making himself at home on our guest room bed. Guess he thought he was a guest!
He was kind enough to stay still for picture taking, and capturing. There he remained until my husband got home to dispose of him. Long story about how he made his way into our house, but I’m confident his friends will remain outdoors.
Amazing, but I can still look at our mouse from the Special Someone Stamp Set, and think he’s cute. So, here he is, stamped in Early Espresso and Sahara Sand Inks on Sahara Sand Cardstock, and cut with his Special Day Die.
I gave him an OUTDOOR field, cut with a Friendly Silhouettes Die from Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper. This was glued to Crumb Cake Cardstock, cut with a Nature’s Thoughts Die.
The green stripe is also Peaceful Poppies DSP, adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base.
“A little hello” is from Itty Bitty Greetings, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. I like the little hole that’s part of the die, and Linen Thread fits right through it.
The theme at the Paper Players this week is “cards that make you smile.” I hope this did the trick!
Read about my May gifts:

OMG Su – I am struggling to comment on your cute card (love the grass detail!) because I am traumatised by your unexpected guest room visitor!!! Just the photo was enough to freak me out – you were very brave to go get your camera and not a mallet!! I do not do live rodents! So glad you finished your post with a card!! Thanks for making me smile over at The Paper Players this week!
Oh Su, I would have had a heart attack! I do NOT do rodents. To me, the only cute mouse is Mickey! You were brave! Your card is so cute though and I love the green grasses and the stitching on the kraft is fabulous! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!
OH NO!!! Well, he is cute, but in my bedroom….no way! You are much more gracious than I am, LOL! We had them in our basement over the winter…..we “captured” several, and hopefully they’re all gone! I love that your card highlights that wee little critter! I do think they’re cute….just keep them OUTSIDE!
Hi, Su – thanks for the cute card idea and the fun story behind it! I adore rodents of all kinds (especially the pet variety) and used to keep pet mice when I was in high school. My youngest son takes after me and did the same thing when he was in high school.
Great card. I hope you don’t mind if I CASE it with a few changes.
Eeek is right. Very cute card and mice are so cute, but such a nuisance. I wish you a happy May birthday.
So cute. Beautiful bed spread too.
And loved the one you created with the daisy & mouse. Eeek.
Did you Eeek, when you saw it on your bed??
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, MK! I think I did more than Eeek! I was pretty proud of myself for capturing him!
Mice are so cute…but thank goodness mine are all gone (thanks to the exterminator).Card is cute as usual.
Thanks Liz! I know you’re glad to be rid of yours!
Hate mice, lucky you were able to catch the little rodent. It is a really cute card, despite the mouse!
You’re making me laugh, Lynn! They are mischief makers for sure!
Those little critters can squeeze through the tiniest of spaces. Love the card. Can always use and make a simple card now and then. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, Glenda! Yes, it’s amazing how they move about. I wish they moved slower, so I could watch!
