Thank you for stopping by today.  Easter is a good day for birthdays. Since all of my Easter cards have been mailed, I’ll share with you a birthday card, created with the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper. Okay?

The inspiration for this card is from the Fab Friday Challenge: Night of Navy with three subtle colors. I’m thinking I’d use the dark color for the sentiment.

I had yet to ink up that round stamp from Sale-A-Bration’s stamp set, Eclectic Expressions. It’s the one that looks like a full moon, and has fascinating texture. I was anxious to see how it looked stamped on the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper.

Springtime Foils Picture Perfect Birthday

I first stamped the “moon” in Powder Pink, and, oh my, I really liked it! So, I stamped more in Soft Sky. Rather than looking like a moon, I was seeing balloons, or bubbles.

You can see how I arrived at turning this into a birthday card. I found “happiest of birthdays to you” in the Picture Perfect Stamp Set, and used Night of Navy for stamping.

TIP: The color of Springtime Foils is in between Very Vanilla and Whisper White, and I wanted the background of the sentiment to match. If you are weird, like me, you can solve the problem by stamping the sentiment on the back side of the foil paper.

I used a Layering Circle Die for cutting the sentiment, and one a bit larger for the scalloped frame in So Saffron.

All of those copper dots made me think to add the three Enamel Dots in the challenge colors. And, before attaching the sentiment with dimensionals, I tied Baker’s Twine around the bottom. It’s really Crushed Curry, but we’ll pretend it’s So Saffron for the challenge.

I wish you all a wonderful Easter! Thank you for sharing a little piece of it with me.
