Is there such a thing as a masculine card with flowers? Stampin’ Up’s Sale-A-Bration “Amazing You” stamp set has a flower that produced a masculine card. At least, I think so.
I started off playing around with the flower in the FREE Amazing You stamp set. I already knew the sentiments were outstanding, and would be used repeatedly. I wondered what I could do with the flower to make it different. This lead to my idea for a masculine flower card.

Amazing You Masculine Flower Card
I wanted to keep it bold, so used a Basic Black card base with a layer of Whisper White. I stamped the flower from the Amazing You stamp set three times in Basic Black.
I thought it would be fun to layer the flower, so I stamped it again (three times) on Watercolor Paper. Next, I fussy cut just the top layer of petals. Using Stampin’ Blends, I colored the three, top layers of the flowers with Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight, Bronze and Color Lifter.
While they were damp, I turned them over on a foam pad, and molded them with a stylus to give them extra shape and crinkle. Using a small circular motion with the right amount of pressure, I was able to do this without tearing the paper.
After drying, I placed my bright, bold, masculine flower petals on dimensionals, and then on top of the completely stamped images on the art piece.
The Amazing You stamp set has a coordinating set of dies, named Celebrate You. I used this to cut the word “YOU” from Basic Black cardstock. Still looking masculine, right? The set also has the word “amazing,” which I cut and placed on the inside. And, above that I stamped “are simply,” along with a few masculine twigs.
What man wouldn’t like to be told he is “simply amazing?” Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Great idea!
