What do you get when you combine a Whole Lot of Lovely DSP with a Lovely Words die?
This:
The Lovely Words die comes with “hug” in a circle, so all I had to do was select the sheet of Designer Series Paper and run my 3 3/4″ X 5″ piece through the Big Shot. The idea for the circle and positioning came from this week’s Freshly Made Sketch:
I layered the die-cut DSP on a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Pool Party cardstock, and this on a Basic Black 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ card base.
I loved the vibrant colors contrasted with black, and couldn’t wait to complete the sketch. I thought about fussy cutting a flower from the DSP to pop up on my card. But, my new Stampin’ Blends were begging to be used, and the Color Me Happy stamp set had a flower that would definitely work.
It didn’t take much experimentation to see that Light Pumpkin Pie and Light Calypso Coral would give me the desired blend. I stamped the flower on Glimmer Paper with Pumpkin Pie Ink, colored it in, and added dots in the center with the Basic Black Marker.
I was thrilled with my flower, and just needed to add a bit of greenery. The fern (Botanical Builder) die cut from Pear Pizazz, and the leaf (Eclectic Layers) die cut from Always Artichoke.

Really nice card. Don’t have this DSP, so I will have to improvise with another paper. Thanks.
Improvising is best, anyway. You can make it your own! Thanks, Cheryl!
This is such pretty DSP and you showcased it beautifully! Glad you joined us at FMS!
