Valentine’s Day will soon be here, and this makes me very happy (Thick Whisper White card base embossed with HAPPY). It’s a beautiful day, blue skies, and fluffy, white clouds, a gentle wind, a perfect day for making Valentines.

Happy Valentine’s Day from the Bluebird.
While I’m looking out my window I see the prettiest, little bluebird (die cut with Bird and Blooms) sitting on a tree branch. The tree branch looks just like the ones I’ve been making with a Seasonal Layers die, layered with cardstock and topped with Wood Textures Designer Series Paper.
The bluebird’s chirping draws my attention to something hanging from the tree branch. It’s a Valentine envelope (Love Notes die set) that I made last year! And, the pink paper (Love Blossoms) is even older! How did it last this long?
I can see the note inside reads “Valentine’s Day” (Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set). I have no idea how it was tied to the tree branch with red string (At Home With You stamp set).
It’s a mystery. Perhaps even a figment of my imagination. But, I’m going to continue on with my happy day, knowing that someone saved one of my Valentines that was blowin’ in the wind.
My imagination was enhanced by the Tic Tac Toe challenge squares: Pink, Red, Light Blue.
And by the CAS(E) this sketch challenge:
Have a happy day!
This is adorable. I may have to case this one!
Thank you for the very nice compliment, Ginny!
Oh….. such a beautiful card – love, love every perfect detail!!
Thanks so much, Michelle!
Wow, Su…this card is so creative! I love how you pulled so many different elements together and they resulted in such a pretty card. Thanks again for playing along with the TTTC.
I’m so glad you like it, Rosanne! Thank you!
Oh Su, this is such a sweet creation! I love that little envelope (one of my favorite die sets ever!). So glad that you are so faithful to play with us at the Tic Tac Toe Challenges!
Thanks Peggy! Participating in the challenges supplies so much inspiration!
What a charming card, Su. I love how you can take SU products and put your own spin on them. The placement of the Happy Embossing folder is inspirational.
Thank you Debi! I appreciate your kind words. That’s such a nice compliment!
Super pretty take on the sketch! You could also link this up for the current Inspired By All the Little Things challenge.
Thanks Leigh! I’ll have to check out that challenge
This is a very cute card!
Thank you Janet! I appreciate you visiting my blog!
Very sweet card. I also have all the supplies except for the happy folder. Yeah, I will use my celebrate die. Substituting always puts your own spin on each card. It is very windy today and I’m afraid more than Valentine’s are blowing in the wind. Have s nice weekend Su.
Thanks Stella! A gentle wind is nice, but a strong wind is not so good. I like your idea of using the celebrate die. I hope the winds are calm by now.
I love this so much! I’m a fan of birds in anything.
Thanks Suzanne! Me too! The birds seem to add life to the projects.
Love this card. Such a neat idea with the branch. I may be casting this! I like to fine unique Valentine cards for my husband (my sweetheart for 48 years). Thanks. Carol from Canada.
Congratulations on 48 years! I’d be honored to have you case it. Thank you, Carol!
Once again, a brilliant design and perfect execution. Love that you aren’t afraid to showcase retired products with current. We all have those “leftovers” and it just goes to show that SU materials are timeless. Inspirational, as ever.
Hi Linda! I hear so much talk about crafters who save everything, I figure, why not use it. Thanks so much for telling me you appreciate it!
Very sweet and cute, Su. Love it!
I’m so glad you like it, HJ. Thanks!
