I couldn’t let this week’s TGIF challenge go by without participating. The theme, “All About Disney,” spoke to me. Growing up in Southern California in the 50’s and 60’s, I had easy access to the newly built Disneyland in Anaheim, and spent some wonderful times there. “When You Wish Upon A Star” became Disney’s theme song, and was played during the 9:00 PM fireworks show, which was always spectacular. I actually get goosebumps, just hearing the song in my head. These words and tune are committed to memory:
“When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you”
So, here’s my fireworks show:

“When You Wish Upon A Star…”
My Product List is long, but I used tiny bits of lots of items, and it could be simplified. The main thing you have to have is the “swoosh” from the Star of Light stamp set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Whisper White cardstock that was cut with a Rectangle Stitched die. Then, I sprinkled it with Gold embossing powder, and set it with the Heat Tool.
Copper Powder was used for heat embossing the word, “wish” from Follow Your Dreams, and cut with a Stitched Shapes oval die.
Gold Metallic Thread was wound around my fingers, and attached to the back of “wish” with a glue dot. I stamped the word word, “BIG,” also from Follow Your Dreams, in Black ink, beneath “wish.”
I adhered the white stitched panel to a layer of Basic Black cardstock, to a layer of stitched Lovely Lipstick Foil, and adhered it to a Thick Whisper White card base.
The five stars were cut with a Starlight die from five different papers: Gold Foil, Copper Foil, Champagne Foil, Grapefruit Grove Foil, and Sparkle Glimmer Paper. They were raised on tiny bits of Dimensionals. The tiny star by “wish” was cut with a Candles & Confetti die from Lovely Lipstick Foil.
Isn’t the rainbow effect of the Grapefruit Grove foil wonderful?
A sentiment MUST continue on the inside, because the Follow Your Dreams stamp set had the perfect words. You’ll never guess what it says!
And, I added some Lovely Lipstick ink stars with a Star of Light stamp.
Thanks for the inspiration TGIF!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane.
