Calling a butterfly card “masculine,” seems contradictory, but I believe this one qualifies. For some reason, things of wood appeal to men, even paper things.

Masculine Butterflies
The colors and patterns of all Stampin’ Up’s Designer Series Paper is wonderful, but I’ve reached for Wood Textures DSP the most. I couldn’t wait to see how the butterflies looked in Wood Textures, punched with the Butterfly Duet Punch. I was pleased, especially after layering the butterflies for thickness, so they looked even more like real wood.

Two Rectangle Stitched dies were used for the framework: the smaller die for a Wood Textures background, and the larger die for a border of Grapefruit Grove foil.

This iridescent foil has a marvelous, rainbow effect, which I used for “happy birthday” also. The Well Written die set provided the words “happy birthday.”
To blend it all together, and keep it masculine, I used Early Espresso cardstock for the card base.

I’m playing along with TGIF, which is highlighting favorite DSP.
Thanks for visiting, and have a great weekend!
The Butterfly Duet Punch is nearly sold out, so if you want one, order today. Just click on the picture below to go to my store for purchasing. Thank you!
