It’s always fun to CASE the designers, and this week’s Global Design Project is to CASE Susan Wong.

I love Susan’s color combination against white, so I used Polished Pink and Mango Melody for my card design.

First, I decided on a Polished Pink card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and layered it with Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″.

Second, I used the large, floral, Artistic Die to cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock.

Third, using my Stamparatus for positioning, I stamped the larger flower, from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, in Mango Melody Ink, and the smaller flower in Polished Pink. Prior to stamping, I placed the white cardstock on the Stamparatus platform, laying the die-cut on top, so I could determine where the color should be. Then I attached the stamps to the lid, inking one flower at a time. 

Fourth, I stamped “Happy Birthday”, from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. By using the Stamparatus, I was able to stamp the sentiment several times to get it nice and dark.

Fifth, before gluing the die-cut on top of the stamped flowers, I splattered the flowers with dots by flicking the brush end of a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend against the lid. 

Finally, I added three sequins, and my CASE was complete. Now, it’s your turn to join the fun and CASE Susan.
