This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: “pattern.” Please join our challenge, and share on social media with #gdp543.

I chose a pattern of circles and dots, incorporating some fun, new, products, I received at OnStage. The new products will be available May 5th, along with everything in the May-August 2026 Catalog!

Dotted Circles Birthday Card
I began by embossing Lost Lagoon Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5″, with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. Then, I glued the layer to a Pool Party card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I used the 2″ Circle Punch with a new designer paper, Beautiful Ordinary Life. After punching three circles, I attached them to the card front with Dimensionals. The balloons were punched out from Meant For You Mix & Match Ephemera, and attached with Dimensionals. These have peel & stick capabilities, but work with Dimensionals also.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on a Meant For You Ephemera label, and attached it with Dimensionals. I used a third new product to complete the card; three Sunset Sparkle Sequins.

Product of the Month ($5.00 with a $75.00 order).

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. I hope you’ll join in the fun, and share your creation on social media. Don’t forget to tag it #gdp542.

When I saw the sketch, I thought of the Cute As A Bug Designer Paper, and used three, Sweet Bug Dies to cut three bugs from the paper. Next, I used Stylish Shapes Dies to cut three, small squares, and two, small circles from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I attached the three bugs to the squares with Dimensionals.

Cute As A Bug “Hello”
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, embossed with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder. After gluing this layer to Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, both layers were glued to a Basic Gray card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.Then, I glued the circles flat, and attached the squares with Dimensionals.

“Hello” is from the Sweet Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. I had so much fun with this idea that I have a second card to share with you in a few days.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Timid Tiger, Daffodil Delight, and Cloud Cover.

Help Me Grow “thanks”
I began by using Help Me Grow Dies to cut gardening tools from Cloud Cover Cardstock. Then, I stamped handles, using the Help Me Grow Stamp Set, in Timid Tiger Ink and Daffodil Delight Ink. Aren’t the floral handles cute? After stamping, I used their dies for cutting, and glued them to the tools. The clipper handles were cut from 2025-2027 In Color Designer Paper, and the tie for hanging was cut from Timid Tiger cardstock, snipped to make it go through the hole.

For the background, I used a Trusty Tools Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This “peg board” layer was glued to a Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I “hung” the tools with Dimensionals.

“Thanks” is from the Help Me Grow Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Help Me Grow Die for cutting, and glued it in place. Just for fun, I added three, shiny “tacks.”

I hope you’ll be inspired by our designers, then create your own project, using these colors. And, remember to tag it #gdp541.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) a beautiful design by Monique De Kok. We’d love to see what you create, so please share it on social media, and tag it #gdp540.
I began with a Bubble Bath card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Basic White Cardstock , 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″. Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I embossed it with the Paradise Garden Embossing Folder.

Paradise Garden CASE
Next, I used Soft Sea Foam Ink to stamp Paradise Garden leaves on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used a Paradise Garden Die to cut the leaves, as well as leaves from Vellum.

After gluing the leaves in place, I stamped Paradise Garden flowers in Bubble Bath Ink, used their Paradise Garden Die for cutting, and attached them with Dimensionals. The stamens were cut with a Simply Beautiful Die from Basic Black Cardstock, and glued in place.

“Thinking of you” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Basic Black Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. Then, I used its Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The final step was adding three, Iridescent Pearls.

It’s theme week at Global Design Project, so we’re spending some time at the “beach.” I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. Prior to attaching the layer with Dimensionals, I embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. You need to have waves at the beach, right?

Sending beach smiles
For more waves, I used a Paradise Garden Die to cut four banners. The yellow and blue banners were cut from Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper. The sun (Crushed Curry Ink), and “hello summer” (Balmy Blue Ink) are from the Choose Happy Stamp Set. The Basic White Cardstock banner was stamped in Crushed Curry Ink, with “sending smiles” from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set.

The fourth banner was cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock. I used the Mini Alphabet Die with Country Woods Designer Paper and Foam Adhesive Sheets to cut the word “beach.” Then, I glued the banners to the embossed card front.

As a final detail, I embellished the design with pearls, dots, and gems, which are in my Product List below.

The Garden Poetry Designer Paper is beautiful, and I used two patterns for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge. I began with a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ piece of the splash pattern. Then, I cut a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ floral pattern, on an angle with my Paper Trimmer. After gluing them together, I cut them to 5 1/4″ X 4″, and glued them to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, I used Words Of Beauty Dies to cut “because” from Shaded Spruce Cardstock, backed with Basic White Cardstock, and attached with Dimensionals.

Garden Poetry “because”
Prior to attaching “because,” I made a nice dividing line with a Cutest Crew Die. After using it to cut Shaded Spruce Cardstock, I glued it in place.

To complete the sentiment, I used the words from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, “You’re wonderful. You’re loved. You matter.” I stamped the words in Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting. Then, I snipped the words apart, and glued them in place. I embellished the card with Pearls of Beauty.

Here is the sketch. Won’t you join us this week for the sketch challenge? Please share on social media, and tag it #gdp538.
