It’s time for our Global Design Project, end-of-the-year, two-week challenge! It’s a fun color challenge, using Pretty In Pink, Poppy Parade, and Pebbled Path, which made me think of the Umbrella Days Bundle.

Floating Umbrellas
Don’t you love the umbrellas? The “fabric” was created with Basic White Cardstock, colored with Blending Brushes, using Pretty In Pink Ink, and Poppy Parade Ink. Then, I used an Umbrella Days Die to cut the four sections, and glued them together with the handle. The handle was cut with an Umbrella Days Die from Pebbled Path Cardstock.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, glued to a Pebble Path card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the rain and sentiment, from the Umbrella Days Stamp Set. “You are the umbrella to my rainy days” is such a cute thing to say, don’t you think?

To create the clouds, I used a Blending Brush and Pebbled Path Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used Umbrella Days Dies for cutting, and attached them with Dimensionals.

If you missed my blog post from December 8, it was another card from the Umbrella Days Bundle.

For today’s Global Design Project, I had fun CASEing Elodie Ventroux’s beautiful card. I love her soft, pink and gray color palette, with a touch of gold.

I am giving you a sneak peek of a new, Sale-a-bration item (free with a $120 purchase) that will be available January 7, 2025. The Heart Shaped Bundle includes a stamp set and dies, and you are going to want this gorgeous heart! First I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set, “my thoughts of you are all heart shaped,” in Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the heart die for cutting. Second, I used the same die to cut 2025-2026 6″ X 6″ In Color Designer Paper to give the heart a frame. This is possible, because the heart cuts in two pieces!

Heart Shaped sneak peek
To prepare the background, I used Pretty In Pink Ink with a Blending Brush on Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″. Then, I flicked Smoky Slate dots onto it with a Stampin’ Blend. After stamping the heart in Smoky Slate Ink, I glued the layer to a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to gluing the die-cut heart, I used a second Heart Shaped Die to cut two sprigs from Gold Foil to place beneath the heart. I hope you enjoyed seeing this sneak peek, because I loved making it, with Elodie’s inspiration. Now, it’s your turn to create a design to share with us. Don’t forget to tag it #gdp476, so everyone can see it!

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: celebration. I wanted to make a New Year card, and thought of the champagne glasses in the Iconic Celebrations Designer Paper. I decided to use a Crafting With You Die to cut an easel from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock, to display the champagne paper. After cutting the paper to fit the easel, 2 1/8″ X 1 5/8″, I stamped “Time To Celebrate” in Blackberry Bliss Ink. This sentiment is in the Round We Go Stamp Set.

Time To Celebrate
Next, I created the bottle, from the Attention Shoppers Stamp Set, by stamping it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and coloring it with Stampin’ Blends in Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath. After coloring, I used its Attention Shoppers Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 3 5/8″ X 4 7/8″, stamped with words from the Love This Moment Stamp Set. After stamping, “highlights,” “details,” “who,” “when,” “this moment,” and “never forget,” in Blackberry Bliss Ink (stamped off), I gave it texture with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. I glued this layer to Bubble Bath Cardstock, 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border. This was glued to a Blackberry Bliss card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

I completed the inside with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, stamped with “Cheers To You and the New Year” in Blackberry Bliss Ink. This sentiment is from the Throughout The Years Stamp Set. I used a Round We Go Stamp to add “fireworks” in Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath Ink.

Are you ready for a hint of Spring? While completing my Christmas cards, I couldn’t help but use the Hearts of Elegance Bundle for this week’s Global Design Project. I love Valentines, and hearts are a favorite year-round! To create the hearts, I colored Basic White Cardstock with Blending Brushes and three colors of ink: Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, and Flirty Flamingo. The cute, stitched, heart is one of the new Hearts Of Elegance dies. You can see the entire bundle in my product list below.

Spring Hearts
The background is Basic White Cardstock, colored with a Blending Brush and Coastal Cabana Ink. To create the white space beneath the hearts, I held a 4″ X 1 1/2″ piece of cardstock across the layer, while applying the ink. After coloring, I embossed the layer with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Peaceful Season Die for cutting. Then, I threaded gingham ribbon through the hole, and taped it to the back, while attaching the label with Dimensionals. After the sentiment was secure, I glued the layer to a Coastal Cabana card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

For extra Springtime sparkle, I added five 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems.

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch. We’d love to see what you create using the sketch, and please tag it #gdp474. You could be the winner!

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lolly, and Shy Shamrock.

The New Year
To make the flowers and leaves, I used Blending Brushes with Lemon Lolly Ink and Shy Shamrock Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I cut them from the colored paper with Happy Hibiscus Dies. This gives a softer look than cardstock in those colors. For the background, I gave Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) texture with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Pretty Peacock card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “Cheers To You and the New Year,” is from the Throughout The Year Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pretty Peacock Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Spotlight On Nature Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. After gluing the flowers and leaves, and adding Shimmer Gems to four flower centers, my card was complete.

Now it’s your turn to create a project using these colors. Don’t forget to share it with the hashtag #GDP473.

For today’s Global Design Project, I had fun CASEing Cindy Timmer’s gorgeous card. I love her metallic leaves, with a touch of blue, against the white background.

I used the same colors, with the Sophisticated Sled Bundle, for CASE the designer. I began by using the two sled dies to cut Country Woods Designer Paper and Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.

Good Tidings
I glued the sled to Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, that was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing the sled, I glued the half wreath, cut from Basic White Cardstock and Textured Metallic Specialty Paper.

Next, I cut the ice skates from Basic White Cardstock, and the blades and shoelaces from Textured Metallic Specialty Paper. After gluing the pieces together, I attached them to the sled with Mini Dimensionals.

I stamped “Good Tidings” in Versamark, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and used the Heat Tool for setting. Then, I used a Happy Little Things Die to cut the sentiment, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added three Metallic Gems. This photo shows off the shine!
