This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: greenery. I used the Changing Leaves Bundle, one of my favorites from the new, Online Exclusive products. The Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder, that comes in the bundle, was used to emboss Basic White Cardstock. Prior to embossing, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut the white cardstock. Then, I glued the layer to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Green Leaves
Next, I used Changing Leaves Dies to cut the leaves from Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper. See how the designer paper adds a variation of green to the leaves? They were layered on cardstock for thickness, and glued to the card front. The sprigs were cut from Pecan Pie Cardstock, and glued in place.
The sentiment is from the Changing Leaves Stamp Set, and cut with a Changing Leaves Die. I stamped, “a little note to brighten your day,” in Early Espresso Ink, and attached it with Dimensionals. The final step was embellishing with Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems.
Now it’s your turn to find some products in your stash to create a “greenery” card. Look for all of the Global Design Project Designers on Facebook and Instagram. Share and tag #GDP459 to play along with this challenge.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun sketch challenge, and great for Stampin’ Up’s coordinating designer paper. I chose Wildly Flowering, and cut three pieces of the designer paper, 4″ X 1 3/4″. After cutting, I glued them to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used a Golden Greenery Die to cut a branch from Country Woods Designer Paper. Doesn’t it look like the wildflowers?
Wildly Flowering
Next, I stamped “thank you” in Wild Wheat Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Countryside Corners Die for cutting. Then, I attached it with Dimensions, over and under, the branch. The bottom of the branch, and the little bit on the sentiment label is glued, with the top portion left free. “Thank you” is from the Wildflower Designs Stamp Set.
To complete the card, I added three Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Misty Moonlight, Summer Splash, and Daffodil Delight. I decided to make a masculine, birthday card, with the Under The Moon Stamp Set. Was my stamp set choice influenced by the names of the colors, Misty Moonlight and Summer Splash?
First, using a Spotlight On Nature Die, I cut a circle from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I stamped a round, Under The Moon stamp in Misty Moonlight Ink on the white circle. This was followed by stamping the “ocean” in Summer Splash Ink, and placing it beneath the circle. To add the color Daffodil Delight, I colored the moon with a Stampin’ Blend. The jumping dolphins were stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink.
Jumping Dolphins
Next, I cut a second circle with another Spotlight On Nature Die, and attached the two together with Dimensionals. They were glued to Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, which was glued to a Summer Splash card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I embossed the white layer with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, to mimic ocean water.
A “wavy” sentiment seemed appropriate, and I found the label in Adoring Hearts Dies. After cutting, I used an Adoring Hearts stamp to stamp “just for you” in Misty Moonlight Ink, and attached it with Dimensionals.
I was inspired by this week’s color combination. Look for all of the Global Design Project Designers on Facebook and Instagram. Share your design and tag #GDP457 to play along with this challenge. You could be chosen as the winner!

This week’s Global Design Project is to CASE the designer, which happens to be me. That means ” copy and selectively edit” a card I designed last May. I would love to see how you case my card; just use #GDP456, and post on Facebook or Instagram.
For my CASE, I used Citrus Blooms Dies for a wreath surrounding the sentiment. I also duplicated the colors, using ink with Blending Brushes, creating lighter shades.
Friendship Wreath
First, I used a Citrus Booms Die to cut the wreath from Basic White Cardstock 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″. Using the die-cut as a stencil, I placed it against Basic White Cardstock, the same size. Then, I applied Mossy Meadow Ink and Lost Lagoon Ink with Blending Brushes. After coloring, I used another Citrus Blooms Die to cut the outside border. This was attached, with Dimensionals, to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I applied Petal Pink Ink to Basic White Cardstock, and used a Friends For Life Die to cut the word “friend.” Basic White Cardstock was used to cut the “frame” around “friend,” which enabled me to raise the word on Dimensionals.
The “star blossoms” were cut with Citrus Blooms Dies from scraps of paper colored with the Blending Brushes. I glued them in place, adding Iridescent Pearls, and dotting the “i” on friends.

BREAKING NEWS: Tomorrow July 23, Stamping Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING. It’s one day only with a $75.00 minimum order.
This week’s Global Design Project is a theme challenge: circles. I thought it would be fun to combine Round We Go Dies with Full of Life Designer Paper. The bright colors and circles are great for a “happy birthday” card.
Round We Go Pinwheel
I chose a pattern, with all the colors, to make the large pinwheel. The 5 1/4″ X 1 1/2″ Round We Go Die has score lines, which makes for easy folding, in and out, to create the pinwheel. After cutting and folding two pieces of Full Of Life Designer Paper, I glued the ends together (tab end to flat end). Then, I cut a 2″ circle with a Round We Go Die, covered it with glue, and placed it on top of the back side of the pinwheel. It was held it in place with an acrylic block, giving it time to set.
The background is another pattern of Full Of Life Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5 “. I backed it with Basic Black Cardstock cut 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4”.
The sentiment is from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set. I stamped “happy birthday” in Memento Black Ink, used a Delicate Forest Die for cutting, and secured the label with Tear & Tape. Prior to attaching the label, I added loops of Iridescent Striped Trim to the back with Glue Dots.

A moon, from the Under The Moon Stamp Set, became a sun for this week’s sketch challenge at Global Design Project. I began with Full Of Life Designer Paper, 2 3/4 X 6″. Doesn’t it look like the sky at sunset? To create the sun, I used an Under The Moon stamp with Pumpkin Pie Ink. Then, I backed the designer paper with Basic Black Cardstock 2 7/8″ X 6″. After letting the glue dry for a bit, I cut the top and bottom, making the panel 2 7/8″ X 5 1/2″ . I did this so the top and bottom edges of the panel would be perfectly even with the card base.
Sunset
The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. After giving texture to the card base with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, I glued the panel in place.
To complete the design, I added a sentiment from the Delicate Forest Stamp Set. I stamped, “You make good things better,” in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used its Delicate Forest Die for cutting, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. To make the sunset sparkle, I added Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins.
