Did you know today is World Card Making Day? If you would like to attend a FREE, public, online event, just go to Stampinup.com at 2:00 Mountain Time. You can watch, or craft along, and I think you’ll see how fun card making can be.
Surprise announcement on World Card Making Day!!! Get your orders ready, because Stampin’ Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING on qualifying orders for THREE DAYS, October 9, 10, and 11!
To celebrate World Card Making Day, I created a Fall card. Beginning with a Basic White Cardstock background, 4″ X 5 1/4″, I embossed it with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. After embossing, I glued it to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I stamped leaves, from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set, on Basic White Cardstock, in three colors of ink: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry.
After stamping the leaves, I used their Autumn Leaves Die for cutting. I also cut the veins from Gold Foil Sheets, glued the veins to the leaves, and the stems to the card front, with Dimensionals beneath the leaves.
The sentiment, “Autumn teaches us that change can be beautiful,” is from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink, used an Autumn Leaves Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. What a lesson Autumn can teach us!
