There’s nothing like a good card sketch for inspiration! It reminded me of a letter, so how could I use the Perennial Postage Dies? How would I create the triangle in the left corner?

First, I created a template with a Perennial Postage Die that would fit Basic Beige Cardstock, 4 3/4″ X 3 1/2″. Then, using the template, I cut a pattern of Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper, that blended with the Basic Beige Cardstock.

Before gluing the designer paper, I gave the Basic Beige Cardstock texture with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder. Then, this layer was glued to Mossy Meadow Cardstock, 1/8″ larger, for a 1/16″ border. Both layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I used a Beautiful Butterflies Die to cut  butterfly wings from the same designer paper, and its body from Mossy Meadow Cardstock. “Hello” is from the Perfectly Pears Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock, cut with a Perennial Postage Die, and attached with Dimensionals. Beneath the sentiment is a loop of Old Olive & Gold ribbon. To match the ribbon, I added three, Low-Profile Sparkle Dots.
