This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using a beautiful combination of Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, and Parakeet Party. See how our designers used the colors, then create your own design to hang in our gallery.

I immediately thought of the Textured Floral Stamp Set, and started stamping flowers in Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly, and leaves in Parakeet Party. The “Distinktive” stamps in this set have a watercolored look that is wonderful!

Blooming Color

After stamping, I used the Textured Floral Dies for cutting the flowers and leaves, along with an additional sprig and flower centers from Crumb Cake Cardstock.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.  Before gluing, I gave the white layer texture with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment, “Birthday blooms for you,” is from the Textured Floral Stamp Set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink, prior to embossing.
