Butterflies Together

I envisioned nine butterflies when I saw the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

The Butterfly Duet Punch made easy work of cutting my colorful butterflies. Adding to the ease is the fact that they were punched from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.

I wanted the edge of the butterflies to blend in, so I chose Thick Very Vanilla for the card base. Rather than emboss the background layer, I applied a piece of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper. This paper is extra versatile, because it’s white on one side and vanilla on the other. Don’t the vines make a pretty background for the butterflies?

I placed the butterflies on Mini-Dimensionals, which are just the right size, so no trimming required.

While I was attaching the butterflies, I was thinking of a good sentiment that would fit the space, and look nice in black ink. Since the butterflies are “together” I thought this sentiment from the Wonderful Romance stamp set was perfect. And, it fit within one of the Rectangle Stitched dies to boot!

What a fun challenge this was! I hope you enjoyed this project, which turned out to be very easy. Keep scrolling to see my Product List. The Butterfly Punch sold beyond expectations, and is not currently available, but will be in the future.

Have a great day!
