My idea for this card began with a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:
I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, which I cut in two pieces to match the sketch.
I placed these in the Winter Wonder embossing folder (the large snowflake) and rolled it through the Big Shot. I tried to be a little messy here, and used jagged edge scissors to trim the edges.
I had to laugh, because it still looked neat, and not the “messy” I was intending.
I decided the snowflake would fall on a Wisteria Wonder card base, and I would use matching ink for the “Peace on Earth” sentiment. I gave it the same scissor treatment, and popped it up on dimensionals in its designated position.
A few scattered, Fancy Frost sequins for embellishment completed my not so messy card.
Thank you for visiting my blog. And, thanks Freshly Made Sketches for the inspiration.
I have this set and I like what you have done with it. I like big sentiments. They make an impact.
I appreciate your comments! Thank you, Dorothy!
It’s Tuesday, and I just saw that my card was “chosen.” Thank you so much, Jen Brum, for choosing my card. You designers say the nicest things!
