Two of my favorite samples in the 2022 January-June Mini catalog are on pages 14 and 16, created with the Tulip Dies (#157677 | $35.00) and Flowering Fields Designer Paper (#157670 | $11.50). I was excited to try making my own 3D tulips, and used Stampin’ Up’s samples in the catalog to figure out how to put them together.

3D Tulips
Three of the Tulip Dies come with score lines, ready to fold, which I cut from Flowering Fields Designer Paper. There are additional dies for inside the flowers, stems, and leaves, all cut from the designer paper. There was a bit of maneuvering with a spec of glue and Mini Dimensionals.
For the background, I used Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die. Then, I gave it texture with the new, Gingham Embossing Folder ( #157627 | $7.50). This will be my Host Code Gift for the month of January.
My tulip bouquet is gathered with the sentiment, cut with the smallest, Stitched So Sweetly Die.
“hello” is from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set (#157693 | $18.00) stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink.

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I’m looking forward to a fun-filled year of card making. And, you only have to wait three more days until January 4th, when you can order from the new, 2022 January-June Mini Catalog! Being a Demonstrator, I was able to pre-order, and I HAD to order the Driving By Stamp Set ( #158099 FREE) for three reasons. First, I’ve always loved VW Bugs, and “once upon a time” was an owner. Second, this is one of the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp sets with a $50 order. Third, this set will make great masculine cards.
Today’s clean & simple card combines Driving By with two additional Sale-a-bration products: Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper ( #158126 FREE with a $50 order) and Friendly Hello Stamp Set (159990 FREE with a $100 order, because it comes with designer paper).
VW Bug Birthday
I began with a Misty Moonlight card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I chose a background from the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
This picture shows the pretty Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper, with its array of patterns and colors. Do you see the one I chose?
Next, I stamped the VW Bug in Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White Cardstock, as well as,”Hope you have the best birthday,” from the Hello Friendly Stamp Set.
I used a Scan N’ Cut to cut the VW Bug, and an Ornate Layers Die to cut the sentiment. After gluing them together, I attached them with Dimensionals, and my clean & simple, masculine card was complete.

I haven’t been to Netherlands, but Stampin’ Up’s latest stamp set takes me there. What marvelous inspiration!

Today’s card was created with the Tulip Fields Bundle ( #157684 | $45.75), and Flowering Fields Designer Paper (#157670 | $11.50). January 4, 2022 will be here soon, when you’ll be able to order it.
I began by stamping the windmill in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cutting with its die. Then, I added a touch of color to the windmill with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend.
Flowering Fields
Next, I cut three pieces of fence from Crumb Cake Cardstock, and two Basic White Cardstock clouds, using dies from the Windmill Fields Die Set.
Aren’t the rows of tulips beautiful? This was simply cut from Flowering Fields Designer Paper, a corner 4 1/4″ X 3 1/2″. I glued the flowers to Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″, then cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and glued the layer to a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
After gluing the fence and attaching the windmill and clouds with Dimensionals, I decided on the sentiment. Wanting to keep it small, I chose “thank you” from the Welcoming Windows Stamp Set, and stamped it in Soft Succulent Ink. It fit nicely in the cute, framed square, cut with an Ornate Frames Die.

Now, for today’s card, and how I love the New Horizons Designer Paper. For a “quick & easy masculine card, it doesn’t get any simpler than this! You don’t need to create a watercolored background, because the New Horizons Designer Paper (#157768 | $11.50) does it for you.
New Horizons #simplestamping
All you need to do is stamp some strategically placed images from the On The Horizon Stamp Set (#157770 | $23.00).
After cutting the designer paper to 4″ X 5 1/4″, I stamped trees and the sentiment in Evening Evergreen Ink, the grass in Cinnamon Cider Ink, and the birds in Night of Navy Ink. Then, I glued this to an Evening Evergreen card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and my card was complete.
The stamp set comes with dies in a bundle for a 10% savings (#157779 | $50.25). I used the dies (#157778 | $33.00) on a recent card. Clicking on the picture will take you to my original blog post.

Are you ready to see another ladybug card? I hope so, because I was ready to combine the ladybug with some current, favorite daisies. You’ll be able to order Hello Ladybug January 4, 2022, but the supplies you can order today are in my Product List.
Ladybug & Daisies
The daisies are from the current, Daisy Lane Stamp Set, stamped in three colors of ink ( Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron), and cut with the Medium Daisy Punch. I stamped each round of petals twice, so I could layer them with a Dimensional at their centers.
Guess what I discovered as I was working…….there is a daisy stamp in the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set that matches the Medium Daisy Punch! I know this is great news for those of you who own the punch, and, if you don’t own it, it can be ordered from the current Annual Catalog. It’s pictured in my Product List below.
Next, I created the background on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Using a Hello Ladybug stamp, I stamped flowers in VersaMark, and applied Soft Pastel in Poppy Parade with a Sponge Dauber. Then, I rubbed away the excess powder with a tissue, leaving a hint of color surrounding the flowers.
For more color to attract the ladybug, I stamped the fern from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green.
I stamped the Ladybug in Memento Black Ink, rather than using Black Cardstock, because I wanted her to have a slightly “fuzzy” look. Her wings were stamped in Calypso Coral, and Memento Black Ink for the dots. After punching, I placed her among the daisies on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “my friend,” is from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.

Using a Windmill Fields Die (#157683 | $33.00), I cut the windmill from In Good Taste Designer Paper. This current paper is perfect for giving wood texture to your projects, which is in my Product List below.
After cutting, I glued the windmill blades to the structure, and attached Dimensionals under the three, solid portions.
Windmill Fields
The background is Flowering Fields Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, (#157670 | $11.50). This was glued to a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut three rows of tulips from Rainbow Glimmer Paper with a Windmill Fields Die. Aren’t they pretty?
Next, I cut the fence from Sahara Sand Cardstock, using two more Windmill Fields Dies. You need to be careful not to use too much glue. It takes reading glasses, and a little bit of patience.
My card was now complete, with the exception of attaching the windmill and stamping the sentiment. Uh oh, I forgot about the sentiment! Fortunately, I relied on my Stamparatus to stamp “it’s your day,” without making a mess. The tiny words are from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink.
