Quick and Easy Christmas Card Joy

I’ve made 50 Christmas cards that are completely different, but I need twice that many. So, now it’s time to crank out some quantity. I happened to have some sleighs from Santa’s Sleigh dies that I used in a 3D project last year.

This is my quick and easy  card:

Quick and Easy Christmas Card Joy

1. Glue the Cherry Cobbler design to the Kraft Paper sleigh. They will be flat for my “quick and easy” card.

2. Cut and score Cherry Cobbler card bases, 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.

3. Cut Very Vanilla layer, 5 1/4 X 4.

4. Stamp “Joy to the World” from the Hearts Come Home stamp set in Crumb Cake ink.

5. Emboss with the Oh My Stars embossing folder.

6. Glue Very Vanilla layer to the Cherry Cobbler card base.

7. Glue the Foil Snowflake to the upper left corner. I prefer the underside. Silly me.

8. Add Very Vanilla inside with sentiment.

9. Enclose in a Very Vanilla envelope, address, stamp, DONE.

10. Happy recipient!

Santa’s Sleigh Reindeer Christmas Card

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving break, and I hope you did too. Now, I’m excited to get back to my craft room! To get me off and running, I’m starting with The Paper Players challenge.

I’m beginning with a Thick Whisper White card base. I spent a small amount of time cutting and scoring these while on vacation, so I have a good supply on hand. I’m layering this with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, and I’m using a Card Front Builder Die to cut the pretty border. Uh oh! I see it’s slightly crooked, so next time I’ll be more careful. We can blame it on the Big Shot. Right?

Santa’s Sleigh Reindeer

Sticking with the Paper Player’s sketch, I use my Layering Oval die to cut a piece of red and white, Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper. And, I use a Stitched Shape die to frame it in Whisper White. The reindeer from Santa’s Sleigh is no stranger to me. He was on many of my cards last year, and remains one of my favorites. He will be die cut from Wood Textures DSP with a die cut wreath (from Santa’s Sleigh also) around his neck.

TIP: The wreath goes over the reindeer’s head with just a tiny bend of his nose, which doesn’t hurt. I know you can cut the wreath, but it’s fun putting it over his head.

“Merry Christmas” from Teeny Tiny Wishes is Label punched and put in place, and Linen Thread finds spaces to be tied to complete the sketch.

With the help of six dies, this doesn’t take long. Thank you Paper Players for getting me back in the groove.

Party Pandas 2018 Sale-A-Bration

Fussy-cut Panda from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set is having lots of fun with the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.

Panda insisted on having enough bamboo for all of his friends at the party, so I used the Petal Pair embossing folder as the first layer, because it looks like bamboo.

The Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper supplied all of the soda pop. Those little bottles are so cute, and I fussy cut two of them for him to hold.

Bubble Over Party Panda from Sale-A-Bration 2018

The Lemon Lime Twist DSP with the bubbles was sized, and folded back, to fit this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

I added more bubbles with Glitter Enamel Dots and Clear Epoxy Shapes.

The sentiment is just right for Panda, and from me to you. “May your day BUBBLE OVER with happiness.”

Party Panda Ocassions 2018 for Christmas

The challenge at Less Is More made me do it!

Isn’t Susan’s card adorable?

I couldn’t think of any characters cuter than our Party Panda bear.

I wanted to keep it clean and simple, so I simply stamped Panda in Basic Black on Whisper White card stock, and cut him out with scissors (fussy cut).

I used Pretty Pines dies to cut the Garden Green pine boughs behind Panda, and glued the three pieces to the middle of the card. Then, I placed dimensionals on Panda for him to stand in front of them.

He was holding a stamped envelope, but I turned it into a gift by adding a Real Red bow. I found the stamp and die for cutting in Santa’s Sleigh Bundle.

“Joy to the World” from the Hearts Come Home stamp set seemed to be the perfect sentiment, at least Panda thought so. He is World Wildlife’s symbol for conservation, and he feels honored.

I added six Epoxy Shapes (new Occasions 2018) to mimic Susan’s design. Such a simple thing can add so much!

Opening My Occasions 2018 Box-Part 2

By Su Mohr; Featuring: Products from the new Occasions 2018 Catalog

Want To See What’s In My Stampin’ Up! Box?

Part 2

I hope you could tell how excited I was to receive my order from the new Occasions 2018 Catalog. In case you missed the first half of the box, here is what I posted yesterday:

Want To See What’s In My Occasions 2018 Stampin’ Up! Box?

Following the three Bundles from yesterday, I pulled out the Decorative Masks and Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder from Sweet Soiree Suite. We’ll see how long I can stand not having the stamp set and dies. The gorgeous cake, the gift box with flowers on it, the dies for the cake stand, and flowers! Oh my! Okay, next order. It’s on pages 10-13 in the Occasions Catalog.

From Tutti-Frutti I ordered the Designer Series Paper (6X6) and the Adhesive-Backed Sequins. This paper is so bright and fun! Those little fruit punches are adorable; I don’t know how I resisted.

So, that brought my retail order to $200.00. I desperately needed Thick Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock, and I used my 10% rewards (10 X 200.00 = $20.00) to purchase it.

For every 50.00, I was awarded a FREE Sale-A-Bration item, and these are the four I chose. Do you see the DSP (12X12) that goes with the Bubble Over Bundle I ordered? We saw great demonstrations at OnStage using the Beautiful Peacock and Lots of Lavender stamp sets, and they were at the top of my list. Everyone loved the Pandas, and it seems like they are replacing the famous chickens from last year’s Sale-A-Bration.

After subtracting my 25% demonstrator discount, my total was 188.00, which was a lot of product for the $. Although, you really can’t put a price on this amount of enjoyable, stress-relieving fun!

This should keep me busy for a while! But, I still need to make Christmas cards, so I’ll have to pace myself. Thanks for opening the box with me, and sharing in my excitement!
