Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along. For this month’s fun fold, I’m giving you a sneak peek of the Summer Happiness Bundle that will be available July 1. The card base uses the “book binding” technique with the Scalloped Blooms Dies.

Summer Happiness Fun Fold
I began by cutting Thick Basic White Cardstock with the largest, Scalloped Blooms Die, two times. I used the same die a third time to cut a black and white, honeycomb, pattern of Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Paper, which I glued to the card front. Then, I scored the card front on the left side, five scallops in, and glued it to the back, scalloped piece, enabling the card to open and close.

Next, I stamped “Fun in the sun” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used the fourth largest Scalloped Blooms Die for cutting, and glued it in the center of the card front. This sentiment is in the Summer Happiness Bundle.

Now, for the really fun part of decorating the card, using the Summer Happiness Bundle. The flip-flops are so cute, with endless, color and print combinations! I used Valley In Bloom DSP with toe thongs of Lemon Lime Twist and Coastal Cabana Cardstock. The sunglasses, drink, and camera were stamped in Memento Black Ink. The sun and flowers were stamped in three colors of ink: Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Coastal Cabana. I added color to the sunglasses and drink with three colors of Stampin’ Blends: Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, and Poppy Parade. All were cut with Summer Happiness Dies, and attached with Dimensionals. To complete the design, I added three, Array of Dots, and one Ladybug Epoxy Shape.

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along.
The Silly Old Bear (Winnie the Pooh) wanted to be on a card with all of his friends. I decided the best way to accommodate them was on a fun fold, “slimline” card. It was easy enough to cut Basic Beige Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″. I layered the card base with Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/4″ X 3 1/4″, embossed with the Hundred Acre Woods Embossing Folder.

Winnie the Pooh Slimline Card
Next I used Sweet Old Friends Dies to cut the seven animals from Silly Old Bear Designer Paper.

While I was cutting, I duplicated the cuts from Very Vanilla Cardstock for backing. Then, I placed the friends on Dimensionals, and attached them to the card front.

“Enjoy your day” is from the Balloon Festoon Stamp Set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Fragrant Layers Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. I also added three Pearls of Beauty, a special request from Winnie the Pooh.

For the inside, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 7 3/4″ X 2 3/4″, and stamped it with “Happy Birthday” from the Balloon Festoon Stamp Set. The jars of honey were cut from the Silly Old Bear Designer Paper, layered for thickness, and glued in place. It’s so nice seeing the Sweet Old Friends together.

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along. Today’s “flap fold” features sneak peeks of new products that will be available May 5th! The Silly Old Bear Designer Paper and Scalloped Blooms are two of my favorites.

Silly Old Bear Fun Fold
To create the card base, I cut Pecan Pie Cardstock 8″ X 4 1/4″, scored at 2 1/2″. Then, I glued two pieces of the Silly Old Bear Designer Paper to the card base: 5 1/4″ X 4″ (inside) and 2 1/4″ X 4″ (front).

Next, I used the 4th largest Scalloped Blooms Die to cut a second pattern of Silly Old Bear DSP, which I backed with Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then, I used the same Scalloped Blooms Die to cut Very Vanilla Cardstock for the inside of the card. I was careful to line up the scalloped cuts, so the inside isn’t visible when the card is closed.

The sentiment, “have a good day,” is from the Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, used a Scalloped Blooms Die for cutting, and glued it in place. Decorating the front of the card is Winnie the Pooh, fussy cut from the Silly Old Bear Designer Paper, and attached with Dimensionals.

How cute are these chocolate Easter bunnies from the Easter Basket Bundle! The arch- shaped card base makes this a fun fold, so let’s start there. To create the card base, I lined up the largest, Everyday Arches die just over the fold of a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I used the third largest Everyday Arches die to cut Basic White Cardstock, which I colored with Balmy Blue Ink and a Blending Brush. Before gluing the layer to the card base, I stamped “Happy Easter,” from the Easter Basket Stamp Set, in Balmy Blue Ink.

Chocolate Bunnies
Next, I used Easter Basket Dies to cut the basket from Thick Basic White Cardstock. The set comes with a die that cuts tiny strips of cardstock to weave through the basket, which I cut from Lemon Lolly and Pretty In Pink. They are held in place by Dimensionals on the back.

The scalloped edge on the basket was cut from Basic White Cardstock, and the bow was cut from Lemon Lolly Cardstock, and both were glued flat. I stamped the bunnies in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and colored them with a Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend. The eggs were stamped in Balmy Blue Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and colored with Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends. To complete the card, I arranged the bunnies and eggs with tiny dots of glue, and attached the entire piece with more Dimensionals.

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along. This month’s fun fold is an Easter card, using the easy, book binding technique.

Book Binding Technique
I began by cutting 8 1/2″ X 11″ Thick Basic White Cardstock in half at 4 1/4″. Then, I scored the 11″ X 4 1/4″ cardstock at 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″. After folding and burnishing, I glued the 1″ section to the 5 1/2″ section. For the “binding” and “cover,” I used the front and back of one sheet of Lovely & Beautiful Designer Paper. The binding is 7/8″ X 4 1/8″, and the cover is 4 3/8″ X 4 1/8″. I stamped “Happy Easter” in Calypso Coral Ink, on the binding, before gluing it in place. This sentiment is from the Easter Basket Stamp Set.

The bunny, also from the Easter Basket Stamp Set, was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I gave him a touch of pink with a Stampin’ Blend, used an Easter Basket Die for cutting, and attached him with Dimensionals. The sign is from the Help Me Grow Bundle. I stamped “hello” in Peach Pie Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Help Me Grow Die for cutting. After the backing was cut from Lovely & Beautiful DSP, with a Help Me Grow Die, I glued the sign together and attached it with Dimensionals.

Now, you can see the inside of the card. I used a Beautifully Celebrated Die to cut the frame from another pattern of Lovely & Beautiful Designer Paper. And, I used the same die to cut Basic White Cardstock to fill in the middle of the frame. There’s plenty of room for a personal Easter message.

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along. This month’s fun fold is showing off Cute As A Bug Designer Paper and Sweet Bugs Dies. I really like this fun fold design, because it has a “wow” factor, but it’s very easy!

Cute As A Bug Fun Fold
I began with a card base of Mossy Meadow, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, scored on the long side, 3″, 6″, and 7 1/4″, and folded. The top piece is 3″ X 8 1/2″, scored on the long side at 4 1/4″, and folded in half.

After cutting and folding, I glued Sweet As A Bug Designer Paper to the front of the card base: 5 1/4″ X 2 3/4″ and 5 1/4″ X 1″. Then, I glued a different pattern of Cute As A Bug Designer Paper to the front of the top piece, 2/3/4″ X 4″. When gluing the top piece to the card base, I glued only the portion that touches the card base, while laying folded, and flat, to insure the edges were even. I also added Basic White Cardstock to the inside, 5 1/4″ X 2 3/4″, for a personal message.

“You make my heart buzz” is from the Be Mine Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used an Endless Love Die for cutting the heart. The flowers and bee were cut from Cute As A Bug DSP with Sweet Bugs Dies, and all were attached with Dimensionals. I like the way the flowers fit the shape of the heart. For extra pizazz, I added three Ladybug Epoxy Shapes. Can you find the third one, hidden on a leaf?
