Expressions In Ink is gorgeous, new, designer paper in the 2021-2022 Annual catalog. It’s also the name of the entire suite that includes the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, and Artistic Dies. You can order them separately, or together, as you’ll see in my Product List below.
Expressions In Ink Hello
This quick & easy card has a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The top layer, is a piece of Expressions In Ink Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5″, and has a 1/16″ border of Evening Evergreen. This dark, green has the same effect as black, making other colors “pop”.
The large, floral image was cut with an Artistic Die from another pattern of Expressions in Ink Designer Paper.
Would you like to know how I glued the die-cut with all of its intricate detail? I squeezed a small spot of Tombow Liquid Glue onto a Silicone Mat, and rubbed a 1/4 cut section of a Stamping Sponge in the glue. Then, I blotted the sponge on the back of the die-cut, which was on the Silicone Mat, and adhered it to the card front.
I stamped a few little dots, and “hello,” in Evening Evergreen Ink. After adding three Sequins For Everything, to match the Pale Papaya in the designer paper, my quick & easy card was complete.

This week at Global Design Project, we are casing Susan Wong, and I used one of my favorite sets, Quiet Meadow, with her layout.
Thinking of you
I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. A Scalloped Contours Die was used to give the right-side edge some fun detail. How do you like it?

Next, I stamped three flowers from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set in three shades of yellow: Bumblebee, Mango Melody, and Crushed Curry. Then, I fussy cut the flowers, and placed them on Dimensionals. I must confess, I thought there was a die for cutting the flowers, but there wasn’t. There was, however, a die for the branch, which was easily cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Now, for the sentiment. “Thinking of you” is from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, stamped in Crumb Cake Ink, and cut with a Meadow Die from Thick Basic White Cardstock. I was able to thread the label die with Bumble Bee Gingham Trim, which is taped on the back of the white layer. The gingham bow and Bumblebee Trinket were added with Glue Dots.

The Party Puffins, from the new, 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, were designed to say “Happy Birthday.” Here they are in their natural habitat of coastal cliffs by the sea. The smaller one looks like a baby to me, and he’s called a puffling. Aren’t they cute?
I stamped the Puffins in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut them free. They were a cinch to color; only requiring a bit of Stampin’ Blends on their beaks and feet in three colors: Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Daffodil Delight.
Party Puffins
To create their habitat, I began with a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut a layer of sea from Sand & Sea Designer Paper, 4″ X 5″.
Next, I created the coastal cliffs, using a Majestic Mountain Die, and In Good Taste Designer Paper. I glued two sections flat, and placed one on Dimensionals, trimming the sides to fit the 4″ layer of sea.
Last, I stamped “Happy Birthday,” from the Party Puffins Stamp Set, in Seaside Spray Ink in the sea.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we have a circular sketch, and I envisioned a beautiful Hawaiian lei. Can’t you smell the flowers?
Hawaiian Lei
The leaves are from the retiring, Forever Gold Laser-Cut Paper. I used the backside of the paper, which is white, and colored it with a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend.
I cut the flowers, using a die from In The Tropics, from three colors of cardstock: Real Red, Magenta Madness, and Basic White.
The background is Sand & Sea Designer Paper, which I cut 1/8″ smaller than the Basic White layer, which is 4″ X 5 1/4″. The card base is Seaside Spray (a retiring color) 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
“Aloha” is also an In The Tropics die, which I cut from Basic Black Cardstock. For a final touch, I added three little pearls. Hawaii has wonderful necklaces of pearls and shells!

It’s so much fun playing with color, and this week’s Global Design Project combines Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, and Bumblebee. How do you like this bright combination?
Dandy Wishes
I began with a Coastal Cabana card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut a layer of Brights 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in a Coastal Cabana Dot.
Next, I used the third largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, which I framed with a 1/16″ border of Magenta Madness.
Before gluing the layers to the card base, I embossed the Basic White, top layer, with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder for some texture.
Now for the fun plant! This great die is in the Dandy Wishes Die Set, which I used to cut the three colors of cardstock: Thick Basic White, Bumblebee, and Magenta Madness.
You can see the die in the first picture, and the complete set in my Product List below. I attached the plants with glue on the stems, up to the base of the plants, leaving the tops free.
At the spot where the plants gathered, I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals. “Celebrate” was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.
The sentiment is from a favorite, retiring stamp set, Itty Bitty Greetings, and the In Color Enamel Dots have already retired, but I HAD to use them.

This week at Global Design Project, we are casing Manuela Geiswinkler, and I used one of my favorite sets, Painted Poppies, with her layout and colors.
Painted Poppies
Here is Manuela’s card, using the Snailed It Bundle. I love how the snail is in the vellum envelope! Check out the other projects, then join us in casing Manuela!
I began with a Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), topped with angled, Neutrals 6 X 6 Designer Paper (3 3/4″ X 5″) in Night Of Navy.
The Basic White Cardstock, angled on top ( 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″) was embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is retiring the end of May, so get it now while it’s still available.
Next, I stamped the flowers from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in Night Of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I colored them with Petal Pink ink and a “splotch” stamp in the set, and they were easily cut with Painted Labels Dies. You can see the two dies in the first picture, and in my Product List below.
Then, I cut the leaves from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with two Poppy Moments Dies. The smaller flower and leaves were glued flat, and the larger flower was attached with Dimensionals.
“Hey, friend” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Night Of Navy Ink, and cut with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die. I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals, added three Pearl Basic Jewels, and my project was complete.
