This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, and a new “In Color,” Timid Tiger.

Impressions Abloom
There are 25 Impressions Abloom Dies, and I used 11 that are pictured here. The petals were cut from 2025-2027 In Color Designer Paper in the color Timid Tiger, and the flower centers were cut from Timid Tiger Cardstock. The stems and leaves were cut from Lost Lagoon Cardstock.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Textured Notes Die. After stamping it with Petal Pink Ink, and the Painted Stripes Stamp, I glued it to a Petal Pink card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thanks” is from the Impressions Abloom Stamp Set, stamped in Lost lagoon Ink. The tiny, white, blossoms were cut with Impressions Abloom Dies from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and glued in place.

Now that you’ve seen the color challenge, we hope you’ll join in the fun. Please post your creation on social media, and tag it #GDP501.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we are having a 500th Project Celebration!!! We thought it would be fun to CASE one another, and I was excited to CASE Ann Alexander from Australia. You can see her card below. Please join in the challenge by choosing a designer to CASE for your project. Then, tag it #GDP500, when you post it on social media.

I began with the cake from the Along These Lines Stamp Set, stamping it twice in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After fussy cutting the birthday cake, I added some color with three Stampin’ Blends: Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, and Soft Sea Foam.

Global Design Project Challenge #500
Next, I used a Stylish Shapes Die to cut three circles from the same colors of cardstock. Then, I used the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder to give them texture. The circles were glued to Basic White Cardstock, 3 7/8 X 5 1/8, which was backed with Bubble Bath cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/2″. Both layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Happy Birthday” is from the new, The Right Words Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Stylish Shapes Die. The sentiment is completed on the inside, “To someone worth celebrating every single day!” After using Dimensionals to attach the sentiment, and cakes, on the card front, my CASE was complete.

Here is Ann’s card.

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme we all love: animals! I had so much with the mountain lion from the Along These Lines Stamps Set, I created two cards. I’ll share the second one later this month. For today’s card, I stamped the mountain lion in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used the fifth largest, Everyday Arches Die for cutting. I also stamped, “let the adventure begin,” from the Scenic Adventures Stamp Set.

Mountain Lion and Everyday Arches
Next, I created the card base from Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I placed the card base on the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, with the largest, Everyday Arches Die, as close over the folded edge as possible, and ran it through the machine. (The perforations make it stick together, so take care peeling it apart). Then, I used the second largest, Everyday Arches Die to cut Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper. After cutting out the center with the fifth largest, Everyday Arches Die, I glued it to the card front. Then, I “embedded” the mountain lion in the space.

To complete the inside, I stamped, “embrace the journey,” on Basic White Cardstock, and used the fifth largest Everyday Arches Die for cutting. This sentiment is from the Everyday Arches Stamp Set. I glued this arch to Thoughtful Journey DSP, cut with the third largest Everyday Arches Die (not embedded this time), and both were glued to the inside of the card.

Three, 2025-2027 Flat Pearls were added as a final touch.

Please join in the fun, and show us your animal cards. Remember to tag #gdp499!

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun card sketch, which you can see below. For my ultra simple design, I didn’t even use the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, a departure from my normal cards. All of the cuts were made with my Paper Trimmer.

Beautiful Gallery Roses
I chose the pretty roses from Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper to cut in three sections, 3 3/4″ X 1 1/4″. Then, I glued the sections to Secret Sea cardstock, 3 7/8″ X 4 1/16″. This was glued to a Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
By the way, I use my Paper Trimmer on every single card, because it’s how I begin with my card base. When I say 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I’ve used my Paper Trimmer to cut the cardstock, and score at 4 1/4″, before folding. This score line gives a nice, exact, fold.

The sentiment, “with sympathy,” is from the carry-over, Unbounded Love Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink on Cloud Cover Cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 7/8″, backed it with Secret Sea Cardstock, 1 7/8″ X 1″, and attached it with Dimensionals. The last detail was adding three of the beautiful, new, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. They are so pretty in Cloud Cover!

Now it’s your turn to have fun with this week’s card sketch! Be sure to tag your creation with #gdp498, when you share it with social media, so we can find you.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using new 2025-2027 In Colors: Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, and Darling Duckling. Start thinking of ways to use this color combo. Then, we’d love for you to show off your creation on social media, and tag it #gdp497, so everyone can see it.
To show off the new colors, I used the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks. The masks are marked one through five, and have notches for ease of lining things up. All you need to do is choose the colors of ink, and apply it with Blending Brushes. I colored on Basic White Cardstock, the same size as the masks, 5″ X 6 5/8″. You can vary the pressure, and amount of ink, to achieve lighter and darker colors. After completing your amazing floral arrangement, rinse the masks and brushes in water, so they will be clean for your next project.

2025-2027 In Colors
Next, I used the largest Textured Notes Die for cutting, and glued this to a Secret Sea card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Secret Sea is a beautiful, blue-gray color; a great neutral!

“You make me smile” is from the Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Textured Notes Die for cutting, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added three, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. It’s hard to appreciate them in the photo, but they have extra shine.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE Krista Frattin’s colorful card. We hope you are inspired, and will play along with us. Be sure to tag your creation #GDP496 when you share with social media.
I chose flowers from the new, Gallery Blooms Stamp Set, stamping them in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends in three colors: Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green.

The Simplest Things
Next, I used a Gallery Blooms Die to cut the flowers , and two Beautiful Motif Dies to cut the foliage from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock and Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

The frame was cut from Coastal Cabana Cardstock, using a Gallery Blooms Die. After cutting, I gave it texture with the Birch Wood Embossing Folder. Using the same die I cut Basic White Cardstock, and stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink on the center portion. “Sometimes the simplest things mean the most” is from the You are Remarkable Stamp Set.

The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. It is layered with Coastal Cabana Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, layered with Beautiful Bokeh Designer paper, 1/8″ smaller. The Lemon Lime Twist foliage, and frame, were glued flat. Three sets of Granny Apple Green Leaves were glued to the back of the flowers, and attached with Dimensionals. To complete the design, I added three Black Rhinestone Jewels (retired, but not forgotten).
