This week’s Global Design Project is a theme challenge: “baby.” I chose Storybook Moments for my baby card, and used the second largest Textured Notes Die to cut this adorable, designer paper.

Storybook Moments Baby Card

Next, I used the largest Textured Notes Die to cut Basic Beige Cardstock. After gluing the two together, I glued them to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The darling, bunny was cut from another sheet of Storybook Moments Designer Paper with its Storybook Friends Die.

“Welcome little one” is from the Storybook Friends Stamp Set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock, and used the smallest Textured Notes Die for cutting. After layering the bunny for thickness, I glued him to the sentiment label, and attached it to the card front with Dimensionals. I added three, Antique Pearls as a final touch, to this very simple card.

Now, it’s your turn to make a “baby” card. Remember to use #GDP496 when sharing it with social media, so we can find it.

Textured Notes Birthday for Global Design Project

I love sketch challenges! For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge, I thought it would be fun to give the Textured Notes Bundle some bright colors. I stamped the small, Textured Notes stamp in five colors: Fresh Freesia, Pretty In Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Summer Splash.  After stamping, I used a Textured Notes Die for cutting, and placed them on Dimensionals. The background is kept Basic White Cardstock to show off the colors. I used the largest Textured Notes Die for cutting, and glued it to a Thick Basic White card base , 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Colorful Textured Notes

“Wishing” and “you a happy birthday” are from the Delightful Wishes Bundle. I used dies to cut the word “wishing” from Basic Black Cardstock, and the backing from Basic White Cardstock. After gluing them together, I glued them across the five, colorful, Textured Notes die-cuts.

“You a happy birthday” was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Textured Notes Die. The final splash of color was created with a “bunch” of Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins.

We’d love to see your creation, using this week’s sketch. Remember to add #GDP494, when you share it on social media.

I began by using an Elements Of Text stamp with Basic Gray Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used the largest Textured Notes Die for cutting, and glued it to a Basic Gray card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ , folded at 4 1/4″.

Pears and Text

Next, I stamped pears, from the Penciled Pear Stamp Set, in Granny Apple Green. Melon Mambo was added to the pears with a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend. I lightened, and blended, Melon Mambo with a Stampin’ Blend Color Lifter. It’s a cool tool, if you haven’t tried it.

I also stamped a sentiment from the Penciled Pear Stamp Set, “Just a little note,” in Basic Gray Ink. To complete the card, I added three Basic Gray Pearls.

Textured Notes Leaves

The top layer is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Textured Notes Die. Before cutting, I stamped leaves from the Textured Notes Stamp Set, using Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist Inks.

For my focal point, I used Cheerful Daisies Dies to create a flower from Highland Heather Cardstock, and Basic White Cardstock, that I colored lightly with a Blending Brush and Highland Heather Ink. The sprigs were cut from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.

“Thinking Of You” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped it in versaMark on Basic Black Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder. After setting it with the Heat Tool, I used its Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. For a little sparkle, I added three, Iridescent Foil Gems.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun sketch. I hope my design sparks your imagination, so you can join us by posting your card. Don’t forget to tag it #GDP482, so we can find you.

I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder. I layered this with eyelet patterned, Country Lace Designer Paper, 2 3/4″ X 5 1/2″. Then, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 2 3/4″ X 3 3/4″, and layered it with “denim,” Country Lace Designer Paper, 1/8″ smaller. This was attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

Eyelet and Denim

Next, I cut a circle from Basic White cardstock, using a Spotlight On Nature Die, and attached a “punch-out” bunny from Storybook Moments Designer Paper.

The sentiment, “Hello Friend,” is from the Storybook Friends Stamp Set. I stamped it in Night Of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock, 2″ X 7/16″, glued it to the circle, and attached both with Dimensionals. The beautiful bouquet is a “punch-out” from the Heimloom Arrangements Kit. I added three, Iridescent Pearls, as a final touch.
