How do you like Charlotte’s spooky Halloween card? I hope you do, because she worked hard convincing me to help her make it.

Charlotte came to life from the Little Treat Box Die Set and Basic Black Cardstock. I must say, she is the cutest paper spider I have ever seen!

Charlotte’s Card

We began with a Basic Black card base to match Charlotte, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, I cut a scary, gray piece of In Good Taste Designer Paper, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″, and glued this to the same size piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Then, I cut the tile wall, which is the backside of the scary gray paper, 4 1/4″ X 3″, and glued this, as shown.

This is when Charlotte scurried away, because she was afraid of getting smashed in the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, saying once was enough. So, I proceeded, alone, cutting the designer paper with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die.

But, she quickly reappeared to make certain I didn’t forget the Metallic Mesh Ribbon, saying, “everyone knows Charlotte needs a web!” We taped it to the back of the designer paper, before attaching it to the card base, and Charlotte hopped on to do what spiders do best.

Charlotte wanted to write the sentiment in orange to make sure everyone knew this was a Halloween card, and I agreed. “Spooky” is from the Festive Corners Stamp Set, stamped in Pumpkin Pie Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and cut with an Ornate Layers Die.

Surprisingly, a friend from the Little Treats Stamp Set appeared, just as we were attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, and Charlotte’s card was complete.

I was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch.
