Tweet, from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set, wanted to be featured on a card celebrating the New Year. She said I should stamp her in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, color her with Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends, and use her special die for cutting. Not only that, but she had to have her branch for perching!

Tweet’s New Year’s Card

Next, Tweet wanted big balls of Tahitian Tide and Melon Mambo. I wasn’t sure what she meant, but she told me to make stencils, by cutting holes in scratch paper with Deckled Circles Dies. Then, she said to put the stencils on top of Basic White cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and use a Blending Brush to add color to the holes.

After seeing the balls of color, she thought this would look pretty on a Real Red card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Tweet wanted the sentiment to say, ” Cheers to you and the New Year, ” which we found in Throughout The Year Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on the large, Tahitian Tide ball.

When I thought we were finished, she said it needed three more things! First, I needed to add a Real Red bow, cut with a Country Wreaths Die. Second, it was important to add stamped dots from Cheers To The Season Stamp Set. And, last, but not least, Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs, because everyone should know this was my Host Code gift for the month.

Tweet was inspired by The Paper Players.
